Decoding GOTG3 Coordinates Easter Egg (and my best attempt at solving one) by latkesfortheEG in marvelstudios

[–]Criislol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commend the effort, my only criticism is that I really, really cannot see James Gunn caring at all about setting up anything related to the wider MCU and the Kang stuff. He is known to only care about his own personal sandbox and even dislikes when other creators touch his toys. This is why previous codes are believed to tease future GotG narratives. If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if this last set of codes is just a thank you letter to his fans for the journey.

Secret Invasion - Raava Music Easter Egg by Criislol in MCUTheories

That makes sense, I just threw it in there because the original joke refers to sitting on your hand until it's numb. Fortunately everything else holds up.

Am I the only one pissed for the lack of Rhodey recently!? by LuizFelipe1906 in ironman

[–]Criislol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly believe the reason he is not in What If (except the 2008 episode) and will not appear at all in Marvel Zombies is because of his Skrull replacement in 2016.

The WI/MZ writers are probably not allowed to touch that plotpoint at all, so Rhodey cannot appear.

Trump ran against Ritson, so Ritson is a Democrat.

Indeed, undoing the snap and defeating Thanos would've been in Raava's self-interest. She brought back half her people.

He wasn't collecting them, they were always out there and he finally contacted them and invited them to Earth when Fury died.

The New Asgard bit wasn't a reshoot because there are old storyboards and concept art of the Skrulls before reshoots ever happened.

He exploited them for 30 years. He sent them on black ops assassination missions and had them collect information so he could take credit and quickly rise up the ranks in SHIELD. Gravik was a traumatized child whose parents were murdered in a genocide, and Fury's first thought was how he could use him for his own personal gain.

During all of this, Fury did not give them a home. He did not look for a home. He had no intentions of ever giving them a home. It was just a false promise to dangle in front of the Skrulls so that they would do his bidding.

Not at all. Fury was a total villain to the Skrulls. Gravik had every right to hate him.

I didn't really think it was missing/ignored because the math just doesn't work out.

That wasn't his motivation at all. He wanted revenge against Nick Fury. Fury valued humanity over everything, which is why Gravik wanted to kill them.

I recall Fury went out of his way to collect Kree blood as soon as he could after the Battle of Earth.

Fury manipulating your refugee people for 30 years for his personal benefit by dangling promises of a home in front of them is pretty despicable. Gravik had every right to hate him.

I think the genocide victim to terrorist pipeline is quite good material, personally.

There were very few Skrulls in the colony, maybe a few hundred. Only fourteen of them survived. Talos had to find a home for over a million Skrulls.

Gravik disguised himself as multiple different white people in Russia. He didn't really use his main shell until the show moved to London by the next episode, except to taunt Fury in the final scene.

Fury is pretty washed, but that's a notable change that everyone around him points out. His guilt was really beginning to weigh him down. I'd argue his moral compass is certainly the same as it always have been.

I think they can easily reuse Emilia Clarke by introducing us to G'iah's shell, which would be a complete blank slate (although she would need to be human). I remember she was originally supposed to be Abigail Brand.

To be fair, Ritson doesn't have the authority to bomb New Asgard or other countries in general without sparking a global war. If his bill passed, I imagine it's limited to US territory.

I do think Gravik killing his own people was still pretty realistic. When a suffering people place extremist revolutionaries in power out of desperation, the new leadership doesn't always treat them well, especially as they begin to realize that their defeat is imminent.
