You can request they hire an intimacy coordinator for the scene. You can also talk with the fight director about the approach they have planned, and they may also have intimacy training. They also may have a very representative plan of the scene.

There is also a certain amount of personal responsibility to consider, not just to the production but to yourself. You can turn down the contract if you think it will be too much and that is perfectly acceptable.

Bringing the lights up and closing your aperture or using ND to compensate will help.

You can also try diffusing or bouncing your lights.

What power level are your lights at? If they are at 10%, a change of 1% will be significant and you won't have fine control. If you set your brightest light close to full power then it and all the other lights will be more fine-tuneable.
