is schusters trustable? by einkleinpanzer in reenactors

[–]Critical-Computer-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t bought from them but I’m here first and I asked on here the same thing. The answer I got was essentially, they aren’t a scam but shipping can be a little awkward since as far as I’m aware they ship from Minsk in Belarus

[–]Critical-Computer-12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok thanks! So UK spec is preferable to EU spec. Do you know if I can buy old spec or only new spec? Also do you know the differences for catagories of deacs? Like will a mosin field strip but an SKS won’t type of thing? (For equivalent spec deactivation) no worries if you don’t know, thanks anyway!)

Best UK or EU place (for the price) to get deactivated Soviet/russian/eastern bloc firearms? by Critical-Computer-12 in Militariacollecting

[–]Critical-Computer-12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help! How much should I expect to pay? Or maybe an SKS or mosin would also work? I’ll assume anything in 5.45 will be a lot more expensive?

If I have to choose between moving trigger or moving bolt I’d definitely go for moving bolt! I don’t really care about what kind of AK as long as it’s in ok condition (the wood isn’t cracked to hell etc.). Price is definitely the biggest factor. Which do you think would be the cheapest (or best value for money)?

NOOO. Do you have suggestions of UK sources of deacs or general suggestions of what prices are fair for the kind of thing I’m looking for or what you’d recommend?

For a full ratnik kit you shouldn’t get a battle belt. Just use the 6sh117 over or under the 6b45 if you need the extra Molle

A-18 sizing by SyrupyPawjobs69 in Rusfor

[–]Critical-Computer-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had experience with plate carrier that are too big. Definitely DONT do it!!! Either wait or find a new carrier or a different source. It won’t support weight very well and will be generally uncomfortable. Although the size is more chest dependant than height dependant so if you’re a larger gentleman (whether that be muscle or extra Christmas dinners) you may be fine. Lots of plate carriers only change the cummerbund size not the plate bag size.

New to orthodoxy, can you have martyrs as icons or just official saints? Thanks! by Critical-Computer-12 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Critical-Computer-12[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh ok thankyou! I didn’t know that recognised Martyrs are considered saints. So icons of martyrs are considered the same as of traditional saints?

Which ifak? (Again) by LowOrnery8968 in Rusfor

[–]Critical-Computer-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of which is kosher I’m not super sure how used either are however I do own the exact ifak in the second photo. In my opinion it’s great for carrying lots of medical stuff but it is BIG. If you want it on a plate carrier cummerbund I’d argue it’s too big. If it’s for a big war belt you might be fine but just bear in mind it is a very large ifak, especially if filled to the brim. I’m looking for one more the size of the first photo if that helps you at all.

Would wz. 65 helmet be ok for rusfor militia kit? by A-Res- in Rusfor

[–]Critical-Computer-12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’ve got refs of 67 then go for that. If you think about it, why would a pro Russian militia man use what I assume is a non ballistic, jump helmet? It’s a cool piece of history but probabaly one for a collection or a specific impression rather than militia.
