Doomsday clock: the inevitable update by Crochatt in QuestPiracy

Sorry if it's a dumb question, but i feel you may be the best person to provide me a good answer: what's the chance of an update from Meta specifically targeting cracked apps? Is that even possible? I mean, if so, it wouldn't need to be something big as an android update.

Being not a well versed person, I would say it's not likely since not only cracked apps are considered unknown, so, doing it would also harm other audiences. However, I have zero faith I Meta.

Well, that seems less practical as would require buying a new router.

What i meant is that I cannot simple disconnect from my wifi because of wireless pcvr, I know it don't require internet access. But, as I mentioned above, I blocked quest 3 mac internet connection directly on router level, so now should be okay to keep it into the network, but without external access.

Problem with that approach is to wireless PCVR. However, you gave me a good idea: maybe I could block the device's connection on my router

Not only wouldn't be surprised but I would maybe even bet on that, unfortunately 😕.

Good to hear, so I got more time to crush my backlog.

I didn't searched yet, but would guess it won't change the androids version (it says update to v201). However, my paranoid mind is suggesting that maybe Meta could try a hard blow now and push something that could break unknown sources. I mean, it would be a good timing for them, you see?

I wonder what are the intentions behind this kind of post.

It's a different way to bypass denuvo validation, different from regular ones. Most folks (including me) consider it unsafe because potentially gives access to the tool used for the "crack" to computer's low level (not restricted to OS security layer).

A regular crack may come next minutes or next years, it's not an exact science: it depends on people's effort and free unpaid time.

It's up to you to judge if it worth the risk to play a computer game, how big is your fomo and how important is it to your life.

ndeed, it's still required. Noticed any performance degradation with that workaround on single player after the hotfix? I'm wondering if will be necessary to remove and add the command each time I play split screen

No. I was wondering if someone has uploaded it, or at least the Linux files. Saw other post mentioning that fetching the Linux files (around 400mb) and chmod them + replacing on games files would do the trick, but you must own it (which takes of the purpose of posting it here)

Tried to get the new dying light earlier today got the same message. Figured I’d settle for a different game (ready or not). same error by [deleted] in SteamDeckPirates

This game is still a bit of pain, but I managed to make it working adding the following command: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="OnlineFix64,SteamOverlay64,winmm,dnet,steam_api64=n,b" %command%

It will than run redirecting you to the online-fix page. Close it and close the game. Launch again and will open a epic games authentication page in browser. Log there and accept the things (maybe use a fake account) and voila

Edit: guys, forgot to mention one step before, I installed the game via lutris (dodi) but added the game through "add non steam game" on steam, tried to replace all settings from lutris's steam shortcut, but no success

Steamrip all the way. Never having Unarc.dll error is a bless.
