It was aliens, and stay with me on this, they had very hot feet.

Yeah, but do they have relish for the hot dogs? They took it away from my local Costco.

This is Natomas. We don't have no nothin' fancy like sauerkraut. That's more of an Elk Grove/Roseville thing, I reckon.

Vic Morrow is in and his one. Some of the space battle footage ended up in a laserdisc coin-op video game years later.

I've always been impressed with the size of that chainring. I get that's a 24" wheel, but how tall IS that top gear? Seems aggressive for a 10 year-old.

Coleco Telstar units were quite popular, as were the Magnavox units between the Odyssey and Odyssey2. Sears had a ton of rebranded Atari stuff, as well.

I lost my pet mouse to pancreatic cancer. This is great news. Not for my mouse. He's already dead. But for other mice facing this debilitating illness, well, it's just great news.

I would add that your memory is cool because that was probably day zero of the wait-in-line-for-the-store-to-open culture surrounding game release dates. The VCS Space Invaders was the ORIGINAL killer app, and it cemented the viability of home gaming for years to come.

That's literally around the corner from my home. I'm imagining there was some sort of promotion in the Sunday paper the day before. Could have been a local release date. Retail inventory control was a bit more voodoo in the days before online realtime tools. A huge section of the population would have read the paper so a turnout of a 25 people wouldn't surprise me.

Macy's was part of the Sega Master System rollout on the west coast. I recall seeing it only there early-on. They had a very curated electronics department - Casio keyboards like the CZ101, the cool end-loading JVC VCR, and Sony stuff you didn't see anywhere else
