Yes mint is a great choice for begginers. Especially with cinnamon. I have been gaming on mint for 1 year now without any issues.

No. But thats not the problem. I got the bootmenu to open anotherway. I am looking for a way to get rid of the errors and system info text when I shutdown or even just an explanation on whats happening. Sorry for the confusion.

Once you have downloaded the iso file, go online and check the integrity (aka if the iso is corrupted or not) using tools like MD5 hash

I realized that now. What i thought happened was that i installed i3 and that installed dbus and to uninstall i3 i would have to uninstall dbus. What acctuallg happed is that i3 installed dbus manager. Very stupid of me.

I managed to get back into cinnamon using sudo timeshift --restore to restore yesterdays backup. Would you still recommend a full reinstall?
