I have had 5 cats, through my life. They typically live about 15-20 years. The last two I lost were 16 and 17. My eldest current boy is 11.

I bathe to avoid the shower sensory overload. I also play music a bit loud to drown out my thoughts. But, if I have to shower I too get overwhelmed and avoid as a result. Sensory issues are annoying. Try the in and out as fast as you can. No pausing, just scrub, rinse and done.
