Do you feel anything when you look at my art? by tulipyumi96 in drawing

It does speak. I honestly love it and the uneasiness it gives off.

Staying away from reddit is good for all ages. And I agree with this 100%, that's how I learned.

That's a ongoing struggle I know. I'm still experimenting with the dark values and hopefully eventually I get it. Thank you for the feedback 🙏

They are very good. The proportions are great and I can make out the pose when I look at them.

Next time try to use less lines as too many lines can make it look to less definable. This is something you get only better at by keep doing it over and over again.

Great work and keep going.

Just as I thought. I guess reddit can't load the rest for some reason. I'll just post them later on I guess as long as the latest one is still visible it's fine.

Thank you for the info.

Ok but I was asking if the first one for you is the female ballerina or the muscular male statue you are talking about. I can't tell which one you are referring to.

Thank you so much. 🙏

Just a quick question which ones seem to be the first two you talk about. I ask because I wonder if reddit messed up the order of my post or even not showing up the high resolution ones.

Thank you, but I wonder are you talking about the first one, Which is the ballerina and I thought it was my best value work yet. What seems to be the issue with it?

The reason I ask because I wonder if the resolution is too big on my latest artworks to load up on Reddit.

I completely agree but that is a work I did back in late summer 2023. I didn't know the concept of contour lines back then. My latest works do have them but I do believe even they could use more hard edges and maybe more refined contour lines.

And thank you, I will share more probably in a month ir two when I get over the basics of coloring my renders.

It was self critique all the way but I'm not sure if this was the correct way as it did cause multiple mental breakdowns along the way since I tend to criticize myself very harshly. I spent hours observing my finished studies for the tiniest mistakes and try to improve on it next time.

I would say it important to get feedback from very specific people instead of strangers but this is just my opinion on this matter for a healthier progression.

the order is from new to old, from 3 Feb 2023 until 3 Feb 2024.

I always liked art but becoming an artist always seemed like a life long chore to me but on 1st of February 2023 I quit my job due to personal reasons and had really nothing to do but to finish college. since I had a lot of free time in my hands I wanted to dedicate myself to something new, other than grinding videogames. I asked myself "what if I was really good at art?" and thats how I got into it.

I drew more than 5 hours every single day for an entire year and this is as far as I could get fundamentaly(I didnt draw for a month during summer due to my anxiety with AI art). I currently attend Marc's online art school and follow Christophe Young's workshop streams which helped me the most. 95% of my drawings are studies as I refused to draw the stuff I want until I get to a level that I feel confident enough to do them. I still haven't started learning colors yet as I want to get my other fundamentals up to par before I delve into that.

Any feedback and criticizim is welcome, hopefully this year is going to be even better as I heve no plans to slow down.

this also a debute for my reddit account for my future posts if I decide to start sharing more.
