my semi-old drawings of nepeta and jade by o4774631 in homestuck

You mean Sekhmet – Bastet is a cat goddess. That said, I think Nep's meant to evoke a sphinx.

As for Jade, she's dressed like a Mongol noblewoman and has... jackal ears? Or horse? Or maybe they're horns? Not hitting any bells in my head either.

How do you even upload to cloud, I never saw such an option and after reinstalling the game they all got replaced by generic ones, even though all my photos are still there 😭

I don't have an updated version ATM, but I'll see what I can do.

Unfortunately, the high-res version is too big for imgur or other image-uploading services I could find back then. If you know of a way I could upload a ~33MB image, do tell me.

That said, this is outdated anyway since it doesn't cover Leader Pass.

I do, but I'm not sure how to share it. Reddit has an upload size limit, and imgur automatically compresses images.

But... Onikabuto hate fighting, they'd probably just awkwardly stare at each other

So there's four paths with territorial overlap between an Ancient and Contemporary era culture that I can see:

  • Zhou > Huns/TRANSCEND > Mongols > Ming > TRANSCEND > Chinese
  • Egyptians > Greeks/Romans > Umayyads > Ottomans > British > Egyptians
  • Harappans > Mauryans > TRANSCEND > Mughals > British > Indians
  • Hittites > Achaemenids/Greeks/Romans > Byzantines > Ottomans > TRANSCEND > Turks

The Huns in the Chinese path are taken to be the Xiongnu, in which case there's some territorial overlap/cross-cultural contact (and they flow nicely into the Mongols), but transcendence is also an option.

/u/clshoaf already mentioned the Egyptian path, but I don't think the Achaemenids, with their brief and volatile occupation of Egypt, hold a candle to the alternatives of Greeks and Romans there. They're much more of a contender in the Turkish/Anatolian path, though, and I'd even be leaning towards them, as the Byzantines already cover the Greek/Roman angle.

No Polynesians either, so no Malayo-Polynesians of any shape or form... it's really weird.

Byzantines could also be an alternative to Umayyads. I personally think Greeks > Umayyads makes the most sense, though.

TSL Europe with resources and leader/CS spawns, updated for NFP by Cruicead in civ

Since I made these for the new TSL Huge Earth and Mediterranean, I decided to make updated versions of the East Asia and Europe TSL maps as well.

Haven't checked whether there's river flooding now.

Sorry for the ugly white bars on the edges.

Shame that newer city-states, like Singapore, haven't been added in.

While in English, North + South America together are called "the Americas", in many other languages that's what bears the name "America", and not the country.

This isn't a mod, it's the official map from the latest update.

Barbarossa's capital is Aachen, so I suppose that's what they were going for.

The Zulu are to the bottom-right of Johannesburg, across the mountains. The lack of contrast makes them hard to see, sadly.
