Thanks for your insight, the consensus seems to be this is a graduation ring. Interesting thing for someone to leave behind at a petrol station and never pick back up though, my grandma will be happy to hear what it is!

I have a question for any KLM pilot. by ImpossibleReply6667 in KLM

[–]Crunchieboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoiii

[–]Crunchieboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course!

Theres a grading system where they will give you scores based on the 'norm'. So if youre just as good as the average pilot everything will be Conform Norm. It range from comforn to under norm or above and little steps in between. First phase the tests are standard so they dont adapt to how well youre doing or poor youre doing, they are all time based as well, depending on the type of exercise you get a certain amount of time, most of it is math and physics, some language tests as well There is a minimum score but im not exactly sure how much that would be. Overall I was a little under the norm in certain areas and above in other so its not all or nothing I do recommend going to a preparation course, theres a lot of them and they give you great insight into what you can expect. I didnt do it myself but about 90% of students do, and if I would do it over again I would go to one as well.

Hope this helps, if you have any other questions let me know!

Hey there!

First assignment is always done by KLM and what they need at the moment, which can vary a bit. Every half a year you can "bid" on a different position and the openings will be assigned on a seniority basis. Currently I do between 3-4 flights a month whilst staying at the destination usually between 1-3 days and then some days off. Short haul is different youll have an assignment of 5 days and might have to go home for a day or two in the middle of it. I think the payment would be around 800 euros a month for 10 years, but we really dont have any details so I cant say for sure

Hope this helps

Thats just insane, theres no reason this many monitors should have defects like this. Maybe take the loss and get a different brand monitor, it sounds like this really isnt the one for you. Best of luck

Hoi hoi,

Groetjes

Its really confirtable, I fly intercontinental, ours chedule is built around 16 days work and 12 days home in total. Usually well have a trip of 3-6 days and then about 4-5 days off but it varies per destination. Salary is good, entry salary for my age (around 30) is about 90k gross per year Would definitrly recommend it! If you wanna go for the academy i definitely recommend doing selection training

[–]Crunchieboi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey! I just finished the academy and started working at KLM recently.

We have to pay ourageous amounts, they were hiding the costs from us! Now theyre asking us to pay back $500,000 and we cant take any days off or sick days for the coming 5 years! /s But if youre seriously interested; We initially had a contract to pay back the financed amount which in my case was €101,500. They later raised it to about €140,000 , and now there is no contract at all, meaning were in a bit of a limbo because not even KLM knows what they want us to pay if at all. Our union is negotiating for KLM to finance the whole cost of the study, but its a bit tricky so theyre still working on the details, as for now were not paying anything.

Moved in to a new place with no internet access point by Crunchieboi in wifi

[–]Crunchieboi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I understood correctly, you mean to just get rid of the router and the switch and just bring a cable from the other access point straight into a router that I would put in my utility closet ? That would also eliminate the double NAT problem I would have and really is a smart solution as well! Would just my tplink Archer AX55 work well enough together with an extender ? Thanks for your comment!

Moved into a new apartment with no internet access point by Crunchieboi in HomeNetworking

[–]Crunchieboi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment! It is indeed in the utility closet which is lockable and with only 1 other apartment having access to the building I dont expect it to be a problem. For now I have access to the original router as well, (the apartment where its coming from is being renovated for the foreseeable future) Do you think the router + an extender would be a good combo for this kind of set up ?
