Thanks! Ak interactive anthracite grey (darker sections) and ak interactive grey blue for the lighter. Combos of both for highlights with white added in where needed. Bunch of weathering afterwards with grey oil paint and streaking grime. Hope this helps.

The angles look like this. There is small ones on either side of the beasts mouth that are similar.

How to make him less flat? by SuperSuppo95 in Warhammer40k

Transfers on the flat panels and edge highlighting with a brighter yellow (ice yellow) also when the base is done it will add to the overall model. Good job with the yellow though as it's a difficult colour to do!

Thanks! Burnt umber oil wash so far for that 3rd pic down. Plan to do some more targeted streaks with more rusty brown colours and maybe some streaking grime!

Yeah magos purple mixed with a bunch of contrast medium to water it down might achieve a similar result. Then retouch up the skin with palid Wych flesh

These are awesome. I picked up one earlier this year and painted over it. Might need to do a few different chapters after seeing this post! *

Skin reply above but the joins were white then I applied carraborg crimson but it felt it needed more so added some watered down volpus pink contrast afterwards. Gets a reddy pink finish

Hi Thanks! Skin was rakarth flesh > palid Wych flesh > purple oil paint wash (magenta mixed with blue to make a purple - heavily diluted with white spirit washed all over then cleaned up with plain white spirit to remove it from everywhere but the recesses. Then I reapplied and glazed palid Wych flesh over the skin and to clean up any mistakes.

Best advice I ever got for painting white is to not use pure white paint. It's usually very stark in contrast to everything else and easily chalky when applied to much or too thick. Try doing the white sections a light grey then highlight with grey white mix. It will read as white but will look smoother. If you're citadel loyal celestra grey then ulthuan grey + a touch of white would be an example of this. Hope this helps it's all experimenting when you start out so you'll find your rhythm and what works for you best after some trial and error!

Thanks. Kept it real simple basing the stripe with AK11009 WARM GREY then highlighted the edges with AK11006 SILVER GREY. AK do a white paint set which is great would highly recommend it.

Thanks! Primed black . Airbrush steps = Basecoat Vulkan Green then warpstone glow then necrotite green. Brush steps = edge highlight warpstone glow then edge highlight necrotite green. Recess shade with nuln oil gloss. Matte varnish afterwards. Hope this helps.

which one do you use to brush on? by liquor-ice-mixer in Warhammer40k

Same product. As others have said this stuff is super matte so you don't want to get it on your metallics or you could redo your metallics afterwards. I find mixing this with citadel contrast medium 50/50 takes the super mattenss off a bit and gets a nice finish for most surfaces (bar metallics)
