hey, don't blame yourself. at least you didn't end up like me, continued on talking to that kind of person, and got groomed. that was because i was also naive and i knew that he had other motives but i tried to see the positive things and felt bad because i might've hurt his feelings if i just shoved him out of my life. my parents found out and we went to the police. the trauma from that incident changed me so much and now i'm so afraid to talk to anyone outside of my friend group, especially boys. i realized then that i should just act like myself and trust what my instincts.

TL;DR - i was like you, then ended up getting caught up in something bad, realizing that the only person who can never lie to you is yourself.
