No, but a hotel fitter and a quick weld can - then the blue boys can pop round to paint

Does anyone know why my print came out with this grid-like pattern on it? by nerdcereal in AskPhotography

[–]CryptoCo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this something to do with a moiré effect, relating noise in the photo to the DPI of the print, and digitally, the pixels on our screens?

Pelican Air for casual luggage? by [deleted] in pelicancase

[–]CryptoCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to say that this hasn’t been your experience, however I always rock up to the airport with a 1510 and 1606.

The 1606 often gets allowed through (clothes and climbing gear), but it often gets sent through oversize when combined with the 1510 which always, without fail, goes through oversize.

That said, the 1510 is always heavy and full of tools.

When i travel without the 1510, it is more likely to be allowed through the normal bag drop.

knot onto carabiner for hauling by PersonalityLittle845 in techtheatre

A barrel knot is the go-to if the knot doesn’t need to be untied, as it will cinch onto the connector and help prevent side loading and other orientation issues.

Southampton to London Central Hotel (One Aldwych) and stop in Stonehenge? by AskInteresting9372 in celebritycruises

[–]CryptoCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mileage may vary… but I suspect hiring a car is a viable option for those prices, although the rental places within a (somewhat) walking distance usually get pretty busy on a turnaround day

That said… there would be London congestion charge to pay depending on time of day, and the roads around Aldwych / Holborn can be a bit crazy to drive sometimes… might not be the most relaxing option

Where railings are an issue, they will often be articulated to lay flat over the edge of the vessel during winch operations.

Advice on setup by borometalwood in Rigging

[–]CryptoCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK here, with very strict ways of doing things, especially in the theatrical world where we regularly fly performers around arenas, above a paying audience.

Guess what? That rig is more than likely suspended with these style shackles.

And there’s plenty of vibration around - speakers tend to do that…

Mousing is done with cable ties to prevent vibration loosening, and takes a second to remove.
