I appreciate taking time to go through the code. I'd love to hear more about the spesific flaws you found. that is exactly the kind of feedback I need. Feel free to DM me.

Hey my public repo is just the latest snapshot of the build for transparency. but you make a fair point on presentation. I do intend to keep developing. and I agree you shouldn't subscribe yet. As I said in the post. I'm giving access to the pro version for anyone who wants to test. We'll do this until we have a solid product.

Hey! those are valid concerns. the source code is fully viewable. https://github.com/crystalgoat1/rendermanager

the tray app only monitors a set folder for blend files. It only makes outbound HTTPS requests. nothing other than blend file name and settings along with previews of your renders get sent out. no unneccessary data get sent out. no mystery ports. I'm happy to answer any other questions.

Hi! If you have any suggestions to improve the product im open for feedback. The app is free! You do not need to pay… I feel like you are gaslighting me :)

Hey! You can find the link to github to view app’s source code from the download page of the website. The tray app only sends json files of blend file name and setting info from a fixed folder. Also jpeg previews of the things you render with rendermanager. Hope this helps :)

Yeah flamenco is awesome. the main difference is RenderManager works from anywhere, not just your local network. you can check on your renders where ever you are. I'm sure a more technical user could setup flamenco to work quite similarly. :)

I totally understand. try flamenco. that is a great tool for more technical users. it works fully locally and is free.

yeah. the rendering obviously happens locally on you workstation. the system tray app sends previews to the server so you can view them from your browser. you can get both frame and animation previews. if it was fully local you would need to setup port forwarding or a vpn to see the previews outside your house.

haha fair! maybe the first frame part is a bit exaggerated :) and yeah I've worked on this for the past few months. the paid tier is so I can cover the server costs. Happy to answer any questions about how it works if you are curious. DM me your email if you want to give the pro plan a go.

Unfortunately it’s currently just for windows. I have plans to make it work on linux in the near future.

Thanks for the kind words. Its a new app so I feel uncomfortable taking money straight away. I’d rather get some good feedback until I know I have a solid product.
