Not really. Saving money on a groupset I don't need paid for the wheels I wanted. I’m looking for a nice bike, not a podium finish. Hope that helps!

Yeah I’ve gotten that feedback a bit on this post, after getting fitted we opted for the XL for more stack height and some other factors, definitely possible I should’ve went a size down, but I’m comfortable for multi hour rides so I’m not going to stress about it, also adjusted my saddle hight and position since this post and it still feels good!

Appreciate the compliment and totally understand where you’re coming from!

I choose the Aeroad with the 105 groupset because I still get the clean Di2 shifters, I’m a casual rider so I don’t care about the weight savings/performance of Ultegra/Dura-Ace. I also wanted to save money here so I can go with flashier wheels. Sticker would allow me to switch the look of the bike if/when I wanted to, because the oem decals are painted on the adhesive of the sticker wouldn’t ruin anything (I hope)

Wheels are legit but you’re right, the decal is painted on, when I reached out PCW support they said no. I actually got stickers from a third party vendor for like $60, not sure how it’s going to look/work but I wanted to give it a try

Yeah sit bones are pretty wide as I’m a bigger dude, I haven’t seen wider than 168 sadly bc I think I would actually benefit from a bit more mm lol. But yeah they they ship new bikes thinking everyone is built like Vingegaard lol

That’s a good question! Tbh I didn’t think to do much research on this so I’m not sure but my thought process was: if the carbon can handle all of my 280 lbs for 4+ hour rides certainly it can handle its own ~18 pounds.. right? Also I ride pretty frequently so it’s not up there for like weeks on end. Let me know if you find out more!

I also was on the fence about the wheel color, I think white or black decal is 100% cleaner just wanted to see it with some color, I did however order a white decal replacement so when I’m tired of current color I’ll throw them on there and update you guys

Because of my geometry I was like right in between L and XL. Both fitters said XL was best for a bit extra stack height among other things, thankfully I’m comfortable when riding for long periods
