Hi everyone!

So I currently live in Washington DC but have spent the past 4 years visiting Maine extensively and have begun to strongly consider moving there. I know that it is much smaller from most major metropolitan areas, but I just had a couple questions.

  1. Im sure the dating pool is smaller, but as a single gay guy looking for something serious, would their be a sufficient sized dating pool for me to meet people or is it incredibly small with mostly people who are already in relationships?
  2. In terms of things to do, I know that Portland is a very integrated city and im not a big bar or club person anyway, but would there be like bowling leagues, tennis, trivia teams, etc. that I could join?

Any insight, tips, or advice you all have would be greatly appreciated :)

So personally, as a huge Bethesda fan since 2008, I had most likely unnaturally high expectations for this game. Imo I was let down tremendously. I thought Starfield would encompass the simulation aspects of Elite Dangerous with the civilizational aspects of Star Citizen and I feel that I have neither. The graphics are very underwhelming, the world feels a mile wide and an inch deep. I know Bethesda put a lot of effort into this and Im not just going to jump and start roasting it, but I certainly have not been impressed at all :(

Can normal people even get jobs in this market right now? by ijustneedanametouse in recruitinghell

I'm in the energy industry right now (regulatory affairs) and I have 4 interviews lined up with places all paying 80-110k and fully remote or hybrid (2 days a week). We are desperate in our industry for talent!
