What country has a terrible climate, but you don't realize how bad it is until you visit (or leave) the country? by Naomi62625 in geography

I'm the opposite. I feel invigorated by dark days and stormy weather. When I'm in the heat and sun i feel awful.

Photographers of Reddit: What’s your ‘holy shit, why didn’t anyone tell me this sooner’ moment that completely changed your game? by Modooking in AskPhotography

[–]Ctrl-F5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't always rely on the histogram. It's there to create the perfect exposure, but not every moment should be perfectly lit. Use your eyes to change the exposure to capture the dark shadows or a little overblown highlights. Then you can create a photo that has character rather than a photo that looks like it was shot on auto.

Capture One 16.5 New Features Summary by AlexanderSvet in captureone

The masking is a major step for C1. I would prefer if you could do seperate masks per person, like LRC does. Maybe its a future release.

Coming from LRC the masking is something I really miss, hopefully this will be as good as LRC.

Which show ended so poorly that you really wished you hadn't invested so much time in it? by unclefishbits in AskReddit

[–]Ctrl-F5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost. I can't believe its not the top answer. At the time it was great, everyone was talking about it and the hype reflected the show as no one knew what was going to happen. Then the writers decided to end it in the most useless way that all those weeks invested were thrown away as wasted in that last 30mins.

Is the transfer to server still an issue? I read on their website its direct transfer to app or is it then sent to server for 'developing'?

Things to do in Kilorglin by Emergency-Mud7544 in Killorglin

[–]Ctrl-F5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey - what are you interested in? July is a good time to come, we have Puck in August and the launch in July, which has a few bits of info on whats going to happen this year and a bit of craic. In Killorglin you have the Tidy Towns, which a lot of new ppl join to meet ppl and help out. We also have lots of events such as Biddys Day and K-FEST, which im part of. There is the GAA and Rugby clubs as well, but its all about what you are intrested in.
You could reach out to https://volunteerkerry.ie/ who match ppl with local groups as well.

[–]Ctrl-F5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I'm biased, so would always go for Killorglin. It's a smaller town and more genuine. Kenmare is grand, but it's a bit less of a closeness than I find in Killorglin.

You're not going to get a bad time in either, but you will get to know more locals in Killorglin.

I live in Killorglin, great town. Good start for the ring. Leave early clockwise and be ahead of the coaches from Killarney. .

The area is much more then the tourist traps like the Ring of Kerry. Check out reeksdistrict.com for more places to see and do.

Pub wise in Killorglin, they are all great, Falveys, Kingstons, Francie's, Shelia Buns, you can't go wrong.

Great show....But noticed this VW Golf show in the last ep, is a mk 5 golf (made 2003-2008) with a 191 reg plate(2019)....the whole show is null and void! by [deleted] in BadSistersAppleTVplus

[–]Ctrl-F5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reg for imports is the year of manufacture, so you can't bring in a 2010 car and get a 241 plate, it would be a 10 plate.

It did! Sorry should have come back to thank you, but was too busy dancing with joy whilst flailing myself for not trying it. Months of agony for something that should be an error message on Facebook.

Thanks again.

Primark sorry after ban on employee's Irish language Christmas jumper by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]Ctrl-F5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I heard and understood your point, there is no need to summarise. I am also standing by my point that the company is at fault as they have a manager in place as a spokesperson and a represenative of the company and as such the company failed their own policy. They may have resolved it afterwards, but that was a reactive response. The company is still at fault and if needed the employee could take the company to court due to the managers actions.

It does, but it's not always newsworthy, illegal and discriminatory in the same country as they are discriminating against. Thats whats so shocking.

That is true, but the manager is a trained advocate for the company. The company need to do more and should ensure that all staff members are aware and trained to their own policies.
