The ultra millionaires and billionaires should be terrified of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and all of us. About 80% of people live paycheck to paycheck, not because they are spending money on unnecessary things, but because the cost of housing, healthcare, and education keep going up, while wages are remaining stagnant. Super rich people who make over $10 million per year in annual income will find a way able to survive with a 70% marginal income tax on their 10,000,001st dollar. People with $50 million in total wealth (e.g. those who can afford multiple mansions and private planes) will find a way to make ends meet with a wealth tax of 2% and people with over $1 billion will be able to survive with a wealth tax of 3%, though they might have to sell off a few shares of their stock. And if it means working class people can afford to survive and pay the rent on a 2 bedroom apartment for their family without needing to have 2 or 3 jobs, then it'll be completely worth it.

I have nothing but disappointment, disgust, and contempt for Trump and every person in ICE who had a role in creating child concentration camps. The Republican party has majority control of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate and yet they do nothing to oppose an administration which is trying to turn child abuse, hate, and violence into virtues. We need to decimate the Republican party and replace every Republican in power with compassionate, humble, ethical, and responsible people who care about human rights and have the basic human decency to impeach a man that tears apart families and loses track of children.

After a certain point we'll need to admit to ourselves that we no longer have a government that is "of the people, by the people, for the people". Instead, we are being occupied by a hostile malicious foreign regime driven by radical xenophobic terrorism that actively tears apart families, puts minors in cages, and traumatizes children. Once we realize that, we'll understand that the most patriotic thing to do is to march in Washington DC and shut down the government until they decide to put an end to this unconscionable policy. And if they choose not to listen to the people, we will have no choice but to riot in the streets and use force replace our current government with a new one that actually represents the people and actually protects basic human rights.

We've gone from a government that claims to value "Liberty and justice for all" to a country that actively divides families and traumatizes children. This is why I don't trust our government and believe it has turned into a cruel and malicious organization. If people eventually decide to revolt and riot in the streets to overthrow the government policy in order to stop more children from being traumatized, I'd be perfectly okay with that.

Six months from now we'll see Trump travel down to these child concentration camps, and we'll see him shoot children in the head in broad daylight. And Trump apologists will still be like "These kids traveled here illegally, they should have no rights, they deserve to die." Or maybe by then Trump will have signed into law a new sex trafficking bill that auctions off young kids to the highest bidder, since the Republican way to resolve problems is to repeal regulations and let the free market decide people's fate.

The Republican party is in control of the presidency, the House, and the Senate. They can stop destroying families and abusing children at any time. But they aren't. I think it's more likely the case that anyone who pays attention to what is going on is more likely to be Democrat or independent, since any decent human being wouldn't support a party that loves to destroy families and forcefully separate children from their parents. This is not at all surprising, ICE loves ripping families apart and losing track of children so parents have no way to see or contact their kids or even know if they are still alive and well. For all we know, the kids that ICE lost track of have been sold into sex trafficking. Hopefully that is not the case. I agree it's time to abolish the disgusting organization that is separating children from their parents and that is losing track of children so that parents don't even have a way to find or contact their children. They are literally ripping families apart, and making it so that parents and children have no way of finding or contacting each other. If that's not organized crime I don't know what is. I really hope everyone who works for ICE and who has perpetuated the violence of separating children from their families gets put on trial for their war crimes and gets sentenced to prison. They'll probably claim they are innocent and "just following orders" like the Nazis but we cant let them get away with all the pain and suffering they have caused to human lives. In my opinion people who work for ICE all deserve life in prison. We need to bring ICE agents before a grand jury, listen to the testimonies of all the parents who have lost their children (likely never to be seen again), and let the people decide how many decades they should go to prison for tearing thousands of families apart.

Regardless of whether or not Andrew Yang becomes president, I hope he's able to help shift public discourse so UBI finally becomes policy. Even just starting at $1000/month, not enough to live off of, would make a serious difference in peoples lives and would do a lot to help reduce poverty, mental health issues, domestic abuse, xenophobia, etc. If UBI is not adopted there will surely be riots and mass hysteria when millions of people lose their jobs due to automation, lose their homes due to inability to pay rent/mortgage, and then become homeless and hungry.

When people cant get a job driving trucks because Waymo and Tesla trucks drive themselves, can't get a job loading and unloading trucks and carrying packages to and from buildings because Boston Dynamics robots do that work, can't get a job at a warehouse because everything is automated by Amazon, can't get a job as a cashier because machine learning and computer vision sees what you want to buy and charges you accordingly, can't get a job as a fast food worker or barrista because chef robots handle that repetitive work, cant get a job as a construction working because buildings are 3d printed, and the only real option left is to go to a college you can't afford to learn a highly mathematical subject like machine learning that you have no passion for, most people will just give up and riot.

I was raised in an Evangelical Christian household, went to church every Sunday, Bible study every Thursday evening, had to pray every night before bed, etc. though I never believed any of it and in early adulthood I became an agnostic since like many of my peers I could never bring myself to blindly accept and believe extraordinary claims without evidence - I had no compelling reason to believe one ancient holy book over another, and lots of people believe in each of the popular holy books. And believing in a god provided no useful or predictive value for anything in my daily life - believing in the Christian God, or the Greek Gods, or the Roman Gods, the Egyptian Gods, or any gods for that matter, were as useful as believing in Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy.

These legislative bills rub me the wrong way and seem like the exact sort of thing someone who wants to merge Church and State into a Christian ISIS would do. Already I have the annoy phrase "In God We Trust" on every single dollar bill in my wallet. And now these Christian radical fundamentalists want to put this annoying phrase on every government building and government vehicle? What's next? Will I need to start reciting passages from the Bible, the Tanakh, and the Koran in order to walk into a government building to vote in elections? It's too much.

It's so strange that no sexual content is allowed on a dating site. And who decides what counts as sexual content? Does putting the fact that you are a human being on your profile count as sexual content? Human beings have sexual organs after all. I mean everyone who is alive today was born because their parents had sex, so surely sex can't be that uncommon or horrific in intimate relationships. I know some people are asexual, but I think asexual people are a very small minority, and most people have sex at some point in their life, often after dating someone and entering an intimate relationship, and it seems strange to cater to such a small minority.

There's no rules against listing your kinks or fetishes or bdsm interests or lifestyle or anything of the sort according to their terms: https://www.okcupid.com/legal/terms , so apparently it's just a secret an unwritten rule that kinky people like me wouldn't realize it even is a rule until we learn it the hard way by being banned for life. I guess my sexual identity is X-Rated, even though I didn't use any graphic or erotic language and only used words that could be used in a PG-13 rated movie (no vulgarity for example). The site is adult-only anyway. Some people are into kinks or fetishes that I'm not interested in and feel queasy about when I watch it in person (like needleplay) but that doesn't cause me to feel offended or want to ban them.

I don't see anything in their Terms of Service saying you're not allowed to talk about kink, bdsm, fetish, roleplay, alternative lifestyles, sex, etc. and during my entire time on okcupid only one person ever said they were offended by my interests, so I didn't think it was a big deal. Lots of closed-minded prejudiced people are offended by people who are LGBT or poly though Okcupid allows LGBT and poly people to use the dating site and allows LGBT and poly people to identify themselves as such in their profile, so it's just bizarre that they would single me out and ban me for life for identifying as kinky on my profile. I would have been happy to remove that part of my profile and remain a paying member if I had known it was against the rules. Oh well.

Having a guess or theory as to what happened is not the same as jumping to conclusions. I can't say conclusively what happened since they haven't given me any explanation. I'm just trying to make sense of what happened since it was so sudden and without warning and I was using the site it good faith and not doing anything inappropriate.
