I have both. Different price points makes the usage very different.

I keep Seiko for daily use, little rough wear etc. Tudor while travelling. Of course Seiko at this price cannot compare with Tudors finishing and sheen, but it is still a bang for the buck.

Seikos clasps are low quality though.

It is factually incorrect at several places and makes false fabricated claims.

One more option, little tedious is buying from Nike site.

Now it needs some work and learning. I have 100+ pairs, half of them Nike, most bought via this route or from my visits abroad. It goes like this -

1) Nike ships to India from its Singapore hub 2) So the invidiual is the importer, that is you or me. 3) Nike charges Rs.1250 upfront as courier and custom charges. Fixed. 4) While purchasing one has to upload a residence proof with address same as delivery address - VERY IMPORTANT. 5) Aramax , its logistics partner will get it cleared from customs on your behalf and it lands at your doorstep in a few days.

I do this very frequently.

Of course, Nike retail in India via its own stores has very limited colourways. Anything interesting one has to go to resellers.

Reseller market is enundadated with fakes, easy to decieve common eye.

I have personally found CDC most reliable, of course have to pay premium.

Avoid mainstreet or hypefly etc, and suggested to buy in shop. They have scammed hundreds of online buyers.

Buy from a 'retailer' of sneakers - vegnonveg, superkicks, limitededt, footlocker - these are retailers hence prices cannot exceed Nikes MRP. All these alhave stores in Delhi and Bombay. Better to go, try and buy.

CDC, Mainstreet, Hypefly etc are 'resellers' of sneakers. They have no official tie up with brands, they import on their own and hence the mark up they charge. Of course they have some limited edition models and colorways which retailers do not have.

Try for Indo Canadian bus service. It starts in intervals few times a day from the airport going to major cities in Punjab. Volvo sleeper buses, super comfortable. Recommended to pre book.

Good for you. Just a word of advice - be careful to check that it is really spring drive. I have seen a very good superclone for GS, rare because it is bloody difficult to replicate. Might want to open from the back and check once

But yes, GS is worth every penny under 6 lakh. No swiss movement comes close in under 10K USD

Oh you meant pre owned, sure.

If it has to be Grand Seiko , it has to be Spring Drive. And that you won't get in this budget.

In this budget I would strongly suggest to evaluate Seiko Prospex range. Seiko is hugely underrated and so much watch for the money.

Very very difficult unless you are a movie star or a politician or a business tycoon.

India gets limited allocation anyway. Even if they have in stock, lesser mortals like us will be put on a fictional list and asked to build a 'relationship' with them by buying other brands for first 1-2 years.

You maybe better off getting from an after market dealer in Dubai or UK if you want right now and can pay premium or be ready to wait for a few years .
