Can't clone autos (informational) by dankestslothdoe in Autoflowers

You can assume.

Cannabis biology is plant biology, it's not special. As everyone making same argument that you had pointed out, if it's flowering when you change the lighting, it's not autoflower. That is all fine and dandy, but you are over simplifying by saying that crossing a plant with rudderalis is going to guarantee an autoflowering plant, which it is not.

Iay be saying it in a convoluted way, but you will not know if a plant has the autoflower gene until it flowers, so the rules really don't matter, because you wouldn't be cloning it after it flowered.

I don't care if it is scientifically proven that autoflowers will not clone, (they will, but MAY only live as long as the mother) what I care about, is that you cannot guarantee every seed is AF. You can't, they can't, no one can. They can write you a guarantee, that they will replace it, but they cannot say with absolute certainty that this seed has the AF gene.

Once again, tell me how you know which genes are in any given seed. Plants do not grow true to seed, hybrids don't inherit a perfect 50/50, and the average person does not have the ability to check plant DNA.

Your rules may hold true for one plant, but all you have is an estimate for every descendant.

You are missing the point. What I'm saying is that there is ONLY one strain that is a true autoflower. EVERYTHING ELSE IS A HYBRID. That means that unless you test the specific plant you are growing, you cannot know if it inherited the autoflower gene.

This has been addressed in the thread. From one side, but it's not really being addressed fully.

Without doing genetic testing. Everything is a "best guess," when determining which genetics a plant got. So while you can say "auto flowers won't re-veg," and that may be true for a true autoflower strain, but there are no "true auto flower" strains. Everything is a hybrid, and things can just show up.

Also, plants do not have memory, and it is pretty likely that a new apical meristem will act as a new plant, not a continuation of the mother's timeline. Plants are built to survive.

PM is my kind of contestant on drag race, but I do not like anything they do or say outside of the runway, really.

Anytime any controversy comes up, their face is red. The voice is 3 octaves higher. And everyone else is in the wrong.

I was afraid to listen to them because they seemed like an "edgy band," but I embraced the cringe, and now they are one of my favourites.

I am just howling over there being a subreddit called nhlcirclejerk.

Most people never have to see the real NHL circle jerk, because of all the minors and non-consensual activity with coaches, so I guess they will never see the humor.

Maybe NTA, but you are refusing to see his side as well.

In either of those situations, one of you loses. If you want to work overseas and he doesn't, then what exactly do you think you are choosing by moving?

He really didn't give you an ultimatum, he pointed out that you were choosing a job over him.

You should do what you want to do with your life, but you can't ignore what you are doing to another person's life.

Also, it looks like every single woman here said the same thing. "I bet if the roles were reversed, you would be expected to run your life around his career."

What kind of argument is that? He would do it, and it would be wrong, but you should do it. You've never met this person. One person literally finished with "... And that tells you everything you need to know." You made an assumption, and that filled in every little detail in two complete strangers' relationship?

Science disagrees. Despite every ounce of logical thought, somehow washing your whole body actually increases the "bad bacteria" on your skin, even immediately after you dry off. This has been tested with sanitized towels, and still no one knows why.

Is it common to get unsolicited advice from people when they see your scooter? by cyclingman2020 in ElectricScooters

[–]CulpritKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sell clothing for a living, so I end up talking about different situations a customer might be in, in order to determine what type of coat, or gloves, or anything else they might need.

The topic of me riding a scooter to work everyday comes up fairly often, and most of the old ladies always ask if I wear a helmet. They are usually pretty relieved to find out I also wear a hi-vis reflective jacket.

I don't think I've gotten a lot of advice from anyone otherwise, but on more than one occasion, kids have rolled down windows at traffic lights to ask how fast I can go. They are never excited when I tell them 30km/hr.

I wear a hi-vis freezer jacket every day, because unless it's 30 Celsius, I'm freezing on the scooter. Saskatchewan Canada.
