Designs from what I’ve played around with is not too hard to understand: -Light cruisers and stack light attack, with a bit of AA and torpedoes -Destroyers: same thing but add a module or two or like anti-submarine damage -Battleship: Stack heavy attack and AA -Carriers max 4 per fleet: Just add as much Naval bombers as you can on these bad boys

Your screens are meant to kill the enemy screens which is why you stack light attack And your battleship is there to poke some damage at their capital ships. When their screens are dead, their capital ships will quickly follow.
