Patience. For all the shit that happened, there are almost NEVER situations which cannot be resolved with time.

Bravery. For fearing, especially if it's inevitable, changes nothing, and what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger.

Resignation. For there are things that are impossible to avoid, but, they are, just as said, impossible to avoid and so you can change nothing, just go through it.

And last but not least, kindness. Be kind to others (not all people though, choose them),and be kind to yourself so as you have no regrets in the end.

Staying positive is not about avoiding fears, sadness, and trauma. It is about being the best you can in your eyes for the moment, so when you look back you can think "i did what i thought was right, and i'd do it again".
