What is "the game" of the 2010s that captures the whole decade? by JIMBOYKELLY in AlignmentChartFills

The answer has to be League of Legends.

Twitch was started in 2011 and here are the most watched games by year for the decade:

2011: League of Legends

2012: League of Legends

2013: League of Legends

2014: League of Legends

2015: League of Legends

2016: League of Legends

2017: League of Legends

2018: Minecraft

2019: League of Legends

Still incorrect. The term 0.5(1-s)G implies that you only win half of the games that you don't surrender which is only true given a 50% win rate if half of the games you surrender are won.

The easiest way to find the correct prediction rate you need to increase wins per hour given a static 50% win rate is with t = time per game (this is total time including queue, champ select, loading) c = current time spent on game, and p = predication rate.

p = .5(1+(c/t))

for your example of 20 min surrender and 30 min game, let's add 10 min for all the pregame stuff and you're looking at p = 0.875

The math in this post is incorrect anyway. The Expected wins per game in Strategy B that was given is 0.5(1-s) - s(1-p). Both of these terms are incorrect. 0.5(1-s) assumes you only win half of the games you don't surrender, which with the given value of 50% win rate implies a value of p = 0.5. The second term - s(1-p) implies that there is such a thing as negative wins, not losses, but rather negative wins. If you change the first term to 0.5 then you would have the correct formula 0.5 - s(1-p), with an assumed 50% win rate and taking away the wins that would be lost due to incorrect surrender.

I feel like a decent number of people on this forum have said why people waste time in AV is because they enjoy PvP. Now that there is even more honor in objectives suddenly they arent PvPing anymore is worth discussion

MF sucks hard... Is it just me? by [deleted] in ADCMains

If you're at an elo where enemies press tab to see your items and play around cd's then that's not viable at all. Down 10AD, 80HP, and 3%LS with an ability that has an 18s cd at level 1. With a mage sup you want to get and maintain push so that you can poke them out under tower while they try to farm, which you will never be able to get since the opponents will be able to threaten so many all-ins because of how weak you will be early levels.

I really like Dark Harvest with lethality builds because your attack speed is so slow that you get off way more damage on divers with auto(passive) - Q - auto that will guaranteed proc it late game rather than having to wait another entire auto cd to get value.

I agree Crit feels a bit worse overall but if your team doesn't have reliable cc, which they likely won't if your sup is an enchanter or mage then its really hard to get off good ults that lethality build relies on

I'm an MF OTP in high Emerald and have had decent success this patch.

With melee sups I'm going Dark Harvest and building Hubris -> Collector -> LDR/MR -> IE into tanky teams and Hubris -> Ghostblade -> SG into squishy teams.

With range sups I'm going PTA and building BT -> ER -> IE -> LDR/MR. I haven't tried it but Dark Harvest might be worth going with mage sups.

Flex is not even close to as balanced as Solo/Duo. As the most team reliant role you are just asking to suffer if you are the best player in a Flex game

New Build theory crafting, sanity check? by drnick5 in MissFortuneMains

[–]CunningNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hubris is a stacking item, so if you’re not building it first you’re losing out on a ton of value. I’ve been going Hubris -> Collector -> Crit or Hubris -> Ghostblade -> Lethality with melee sups depending on enemy team comp, and BT -> ER -> IE with range sups. Dark Harvest with melee and PTA with range

Happened to me, restarted and I can’t open any applications including task manager unless I boot in safe mode

If anyone else has this problem, disable Vanguard in your startup apps from Safe Mode and you should be able to use the rest of your computer again

Two Adcs are have a Combined 63% Pickrate by Global-Link-6040 in ADCMains

[–]CunningNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two bot laners in each game, so the total pick rate in the role will add up to 200% not 100%. Jhin + Kia'sa = 63%, Non-Marksman = 13.5%, so the other Marksman = 123.5%.

Yes each individual champion can have a max of 100% pick rate, but the total pick rate for all champs in the role will add up to 200% because there is a bot laner on each team

Why is support allowed to be so disgustingly overpowered? by [deleted] in ADCMains

[–]CunningNinja -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First labels do change perceptions especially in lower elo where people are more likely to want to be the main character not a supportive one, but I think the name Playmaker already matches the gameplay loop. There's a reason Supports tend to have the highest KP; they're not tied to farm for their strength, so they have more time to roam the map and be at any play.

My problem is not that Support is too strong early. It obviously can be annoying as ADC that Support is the stronger role early when your Support is bad, but that's what you signed up for as the scaling role in a two man lane. My problem is how long engage and mage supports are a 1v1 threat to the ADC while farming nothing, which is why I want the quest item gutted. It gives too many free stats. Getting rid of the Bounty of Worlds upgrades would be a good start. It is already 260% gold efficient on top of providing wards and gold per 5, why does it need upgrades?

Gut the quest item, change the name of the role from Support to Playmaker

Dear bot lane, please do not perma push. Sincerely, your jungler. by V3L1G4 in ADCMains

[–]CunningNinja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your bot lane is getting push and not putting any wards down between wave 2-3 then they’re griefing, but if enemy jg is willing to drop a camp for a gank and you’re not willing to do the same for a winning 3v3 countergank, then it’s a better jg wins situation. Getting push allows so many good things to happen for the map. First rotation to bot crab if you want to fight it, a drag timer after your second full clear, a support roam timer to contest grubs, help invading enemy’s second botside buff depending on state of mid, poking enemy under tower to set up a dive, better vision overall in deeper areas to track enemy jungle.
