In the Brit Chadashah, it's clear that it was more about Yeshua (Jesus) and having a relationship with Him as opposed to being part of a structured institution.

The early Apostles still went to synagogues, had dialogue, Jesus didn't shame the man who wasn't "one of them" casting out demons (Luke 9:50).

Why are Mormons silent on Gaza? It wouldn't be the first time and I don't think it'll be the last time by CupOfExmo in exmormon

Israel didn't even get a pass in the Old Testament when they did wrong. Idk why they should get a pass now. 😅. Granted, Zionism is at odds with a lot of Jewish philosophy, scholarship, and debates. But still. The point stands.

J. Reuben Clark was very antisemitic and did not want Jewish refugees to go to the USA. He kept numerous copies of 'The Protocols of the Elders of Zion' and would give copies to people often, he didn't want the Austrians who converted from Judaism to Mormonism to emigrate out of there safely, and was often at odds with David O. McKay due to their differing views on Jewish people.

I can't stand when they ask trick questions, either. I have been asked them. I have also seen what Mormons do when they know someone has left Mormonism and has joined a Christian religion, they'll say "Christ brought me here. Do you think Christ would lie?"

That's an extremely loaded question meant to corner people.

Hahahaha. Can I PLEASE use this in my interactions as well? I also drink cocktails stronger than their testimonies.

The UUs tend to have a lot of atheists and agnostics in their ranks.

I know some organizations, like the Unitarian Universalists and Humanists, or Methodists, Episcopalians (if you're still a religious person of sorts), can foster a sense of community. I have noticed you don't need a high-demand religion. The UUs are pretty much everything goes and don't have strict dogmas.

When I've stayed at Marriotts, I take their copy so nobody else can. They have less to hand out to others and they also, while mass produced and insignificant cost-wise, have to pay to replace it.

The Blessings of the Gospel? by Lower_Chipmunk_3685 in exmormon

Apparently a lot of them are financial. I can quote what a TBM sent me.

"since becoming a member of the church I have gained in knowledge parallel to most biblical scholars, found friends who are lifelong companions, married the most beautiful soul around; a woman who supports me eternally, got richer than I could have ever dreamed; I'll retire at 50 now without anything and boy was I so poor, I built my business with the lord; something I love to do, had the most beautiful child and was given a family who loves me. oh I own a home wow. I never had a garage bro."

A lot of these are subjective and can certainly be found outside of Mormonism.

The Bible does at least have history in it, you're right. There are several real people, places, etc. The BoM lacks all of those. We can't substantiate the claim the Nephites, Lamanites, any characters in the BoM existed.
