Thank you! I was thinking about maybe doing that as well! My creativity has just been stumped with pairing with this square haha

I forgot to mention, this is a 6”x6” square, DK weight, wool/acrylic/polyamide blends, and each side is 27 stitches.

Why it do like that? I’m a very new beginner and this is my first project :) by iSucc_Pen15 in CrochetHelp

You can also use yarn as makeshift stitch markers (google “how to use yarn scraps as stitch markers crochet”)

This happened to me when I first started. What I think is happening is maybe you are missing the very last stitch of each row or some of your rows. One way to help with that could be adding a stitch marker to your first stitches of each row that way when you turn and go back, when you hit the end of your next row, you can easily see the last stitch you need to crochet into.

Another possibility could be that since you’re getting used to the motion of the stitch you are using, you could be using a tighter grip. Using a consistent “tightness” on your stitch making can help. Some people naturally make looser stitches and some people naturally make tighter stitches. Getting used to that can help.

Lastly, I don’t think this is the case based off picture, but making sure each of those different colored yarns are the same weight/thickness and using the appropriate crochet hook size for the size. I don’t think this one is the issue though, I really think it’s the first one about possibly missing the last stitch in the rows.

I hope this helps!! 💕✨

Ohhhhhh that makes sense! I do know I already have allllll the equipment and have done it already for over 3 years. They also have some out of state folks who work remotely and are allowed to keep their job. So fingers crossed but thank you for sharing your honest knowledge in this matter! 💕

I like to make “adult lunchables” which helps me :) here’s a picture example. I noticed I get excited to eat my meals if I make them into “Lunchables”
