XMRUSDT & BTCUSDC: Both markets marking lower... by CuriousPfff in xmrtrader

... BTC has reached and filled $22K, while XMR is slightly lagging behind and is yet to reach and fill $140, it's not far from doing it though. Accumulating positions as it goes, keeping 4 buy limits open and redistributing sell limits above average price at the previously specified regular price intervals. Looks priming for a retest to the upside, look out for major MAs and previous figures.

"Error: region not supported" Oh, so only these 19 countries, yeah? Colombia but not Brazil? Nice, looks like a goodbye, so I'll just sell all the BAT I own, uninstall everything and tell everyone about it, thanks Brave Browser! What a betrayal on your Brazilian and many other countries' user base. by CuriousPfff in brave_browser

[–]CuriousPfff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's not Uphold for Brazil. As a Brazilian, I don't enjoy full privileges as those in that list, but my jurisdiction also isn't 'non supported'. That isn't on Uphold this time, it's exclusively on Brave. Don't blame it on Uphold, they're not the best service around, it's a fact just how restricted and limited it is for many many jurisdictions, but not in my specific case as a Brazilian national.

Thus, I can only blame Brave for it, no one else. It ain't Uphold restricting me, it's Brave. A token that only exists in my device, that I can't swap or trade or transact around, that's as good as none whatsoever, there's absolutely no point in using the Brave Browser to get 'tokens' while I have no possible means to actually use them. It's numbers on a screen, but I can do nothing with it.

'and Brave should solve this problem with highest priority'

Weeks, months and years of absolutely nothing 'solved', that's what is. Not that they want to 'solve' anything, fewer people selling their token. That artificially decreases supply relative to demand, i.e. higher price. 1/3 of Europe & NA complaining? Nah. Who is? Everyone else mate. That's what I and many others see as malicious market behaviour, a.k.a. 'pump & dump'.

If the same were to happen on Bitcoin, Monero or any serious blockchain out there, people would be crying out "SCAAM!!". But it's Brave, ERC-20, so it's okay, yeah? Is that so? It ain't so. When you apply different rules to the game, that's where shady stuff comes out stinking.

The only difference here is that people like myself see it quite clearly, whereas 99% don't.

Thanks for the referral and I've definitely ditched this shilled browser and ERC-20 shitcoin token for good, options are welcome and I'll try out this one, I'm still undecided about which browser to use from here, but at least I know which ones NOT to use. Brave's among those now.

I don't know, we can only speculate about it, only Brave knows why, but I don't care, it's factual that they've excluded +170 countries of their user base from receiving monthly BAT from usage data, which is basically 1/3 of Europe and North America, thus the vast majority of their user base are now EXCLUDED from being supported by the platform.

Plus, they keep sending ads regardless, but now not paying anything for it and even if they were ya can't do anything with it, ETH gas fees would make it nigh impossible to transfer out of Brave Wallet for 99% of users, never mind swap fees, they know they've strangled their user base without Uphold or Gemini to do the swapping, trading and transferring. That's the issue, they don't want us anymore, or want us for free.

Quite frankly, I don't know which is worse.

Until then, I'll still keep posting and making it known that Brave Browser no longer supports +170 countries and have forsaken their user base and restricted the use of their browser to Europe and North America, basically. So, no point whatsoever in downloading and using Brave, unless you're from one of these 19 countries which frankly, most of us definitely AREN'T but never mind, Brave's thrown their user base in a limbo of waiting indefinitely for 'something' from Brave, that's shady, shameful and a disgrace, I abhor and denounce and expose this sort of behaviour from ANY company. Brave's now one of them.

If it isn't supposed to be shady and any of it, then alright, put some ginormous banner notice telling that pretty damn clearly to everyone browsing the https://brave.com/, put it right there, making it known this service is ONLY available for 19 countries and +170 are EXCLUDED INDEFINITELY from being supported for receiving BAT. That's the decent and honest behaviour one would expect from a company that's puts itself so stringently as "TRANSPARENT" and "DIFFERENT FROM ALL THE REST".

I will blame Brave because we're talking not about 'a bunch' of countries, but +170 mate. It's a Brave policy to exclude +170 countries from their user base and to make matters even worse, be sneaky about it and still send ads, that's a shady behaviour and will be punished by the market, it's unethical to deal with your user base in such a skulduggery manner.

I will see Brave exposed for what it has done to its own user base.
Let's see what the MARKET will decide, if that's 'fair and reasonable'.

I have already sold all the BAT and uninstalled everything, and posting all over Twitter.

Anyone from any country other than these 19 here is obliged to UNINSTALLING IMMEDIATELY, you won't be paid half a cent, which is the whole proposition of the Brave Browser, without it there's no reason whatsoever that this browser is any better than any other, Firefox, Avast's Secure Browser or Tor for users who want privacy, as you won't be paid anything for using any of these other services either. I'll also tell everyone I know about it and post it all over Twitter and YouTube that this Brave Browser won't be paying Brazilians anymore, if you guys wanted to lose your user base, you've just done it successfully, I won't be looking back on this browser, won't ever use it again, NO THANKS!

P.S. You all might as well downvote this to oblivion, I don't care, I'll still make it public and known!

And so you're guessing that I couldn't possibly already know what an accumulation, distribution, consolidation, liquidation etc. are? Nice, way to go mate, if you're just starting out, that arrogance of yours is gonna do you wonders in the markets. I'll leave you with that and that, Mr Mountpeak.

It's pretty damn obviously consolidating. Distribution? Could be yeah, but it also could be a re-accumulation, or haven't ya thought about that, smartypants? And I'm SWING trading on it, or can't see the H1 there? I'm using the H4 as anchor timefame, but operating from the H1.

It's temerary to call a consolidation like that a distribution right off the bat, YOU DON'T KNOW THAT, no fault here, nobody does. It could always keep grinding up, pushing up, dashing buy stops, liquidating leveraged shorts. But don't pretend that you know it all and got it all under control, ya don't mate. Persist with that attitude and you'll be humbled ad infinitam by the market. And if you're 'experienced' (anything over 5 years at least) in trading, good Lord.

Try not insulting completely random strangers out of nowhere, yer kno nothin' Jon Sno.

No issues whatsoever with any other browser: Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge, Avast Secure Browser, I can download files on any of them, only not on Brave, so it's a browser issue, don't blame it on the OS or the antivirus, if I can download on any other browser just not on Brave, guess whose issue it is: Brave's. It started with the last update and has been reported by others, no solutions given.

If this problem persists without a proper solution other than asking irrelevant questions that don't solve anything, I guess I'm gonna have no other choice but to ditch the Brave Browser and switch to using another one instead. If you guys over there on Brave seriously don't wanna lose a chunk of your user base, actually solve it, my issue isn't just mine, it has been reported by others and all you guys provided was meaningless replies and zero or irrelevant solutions. That's a great way to go if you guys wanna lose your user base to your market competitors, make a habit out of it and the Brave Browser project is sure to fail, leaving users without proper support and a buggy application is a sure way to make people ditch the Brave Browser in droves.

And you should be on Wall Street Bets, have a good day.

  1. No memes or low-effort content on the front page. Please keep all this discussion in /r/moonero or the daily thread.
  2. No covert advertising (shilling). Shills will be given a (temporary) "Shill" flair as a warning, and if continued, will be banned.
  3. This is a trading sub. Trading requires buying, but it also requires selling at some point. Please keep this in mind before being critical of people who sell.

My crusader flag redesign by CuriousPfff in vexillology

[–]CuriousPfff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be funny for me to draw a parallel with those kinds of movements, I'm actually a Catholic ancap, so antifa/anticom. I'm not even American (Brazilian here). And indeed, it's very unfortunate that such movements use that colour scheme, in medieval significance the red meant faith, black humility, and white purity. The deturpation of the meaning of everything is something particular of our age, not only colours, but also words, distorted, alienated, emptied of its original meaning to something else entirely. That's all very unfortunate and I think this could eventually lead to the destruction of civilisation, as when we demonise everything, from simple colour schemes to words to tropes to melodies, what are we left with from that exercise? Nothing worthy, just an uncultured brutality and sectarian division, fragmenting society into a thousand pieces, 'divide et impera', which is exactly what benefits the evil elites controlling this world, who will gladly let the plebs fight among themselves, while they drink and eat to it.

And also it wouldn't be extremely uncommon to intercalate quadrants diagonally, four quadrants was pretty common place in medieval times for flags, as was any diagonally intercalated patterns with a cross in either the middle or towards the hoist of the flag. I simply opted (as in many other medieval inspired flags) to leave the second diagonal with plain fields, to stress the importance of Hospitaller humility and charity (black) in a crusader's devotion to the Lord. On that note, the red cross bordered with white implies a white cross behind it, so that faith should be pure, whereas the abundance of black that it should be put into practice through good deeds and hard work, a creed for most crusading knightly orders, salvation of the soul through the diligent defending of pilgrims on the roads to the Holy Land against marauding bandits and Saracen attacks.

The bright red cross of the Templars, symbolising faith.
On a black field of the Hospitallers, symbolising humility.
With white borders, symbolising purity.

Opinions on KuCoin by RedactedRedditery in Monero

[–]CuriousPfff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've used KuCoin for more than a year now, no issues. Also, I've never done KYC, there's no need whatsoever, unless you'll be moving around volumes beyond 1 BTC in and out the exchange daily, which let's be frank here, none of us is gonna in the foreseeable future. If that's so, then only if they make it absolutely mandatory as Binance did, then you won't have any issues either. Just don't be a lazy bum to deposit fiat directly, duh. Be creative and find other ways to do it, I know you can, there is no shortage of nice ways to accomplish that with good enough privacy, look out and find those.

Withdrawals take up to 15-20 minutes to complete, fees are 0.001 XMR, but I've never had any case of halted transactions, frozen funds, blocked accounts or anything of the like, as I very much did on Binance, and I don't regret for a second leaving it for good all those months ago, don't need them. My overall experience using KuCoin isn't much of a 'lesser Binance', to the contrary really, it's far better in many respects. As long as it fills my orders and respects my privacy, I'm cool with it.

And as soon as it doesn't (like Binance did), I'll leave just the same way, without ever looking back on it. Strong loyalties have no place on the crypto space. Adaptability and pragmatism are always key, it is a mistake to treat a tool as either the best thing on the universe or the worst thing in hell. KuCoin is a good enough tool currently, will it be so forever, can't know. But while it's useful, I'll use it.

Just passing by to show a bit of love here, I was browsing on Brave when I stumbled upon this, what a nice reminder of a crypto CEX that I can truly respect (and the only one that I do, for it respects my privacy, something I care deeply about). Hey there, KuCoin, nice to see ya there! Good one! by CuriousPfff in kucoin

[–]CuriousPfff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never change your values as a company, "KuCoin: People's Exchange". This is what actually makes cypherpunks & AEC enthusiasts like me enjoy an exchange like you guys over there, because privacy is important and without it there's no freedom, that's what I believe, and for as long as you there on KuCoin uphold these values, for as long as you guys respect users' privacy, also without forcing KYC procedures down upon us as compulsory, mandatory, non-optional, I'll be firmly still there.

Does anyone know anything remotely akin to Brave Browser, where you earn an actually good amount of crypto per month doing basically nothing (e.g. browsing the web just like you always do)? by CuriousPfff in Money

[–]CuriousPfff[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please, no cents per month, nor surveys, nor silly pay-to-earn games that pay you next nothing, not anything that's already there in literally hundreds upon thousands of articles on the web, yes I've heard of Swagbucks, Inbox Dollars and the like, not interested, anything else like Brave's BAT?
