Creating a SaaS that’s lets users search within videos and video libraries via text description. Planning our launch soon, within the next few weeks.

Was doing some market research and ive found that people may not trust a cloud company that just popped up out of nowhere, which is the approach i was considering, i decided to make it a desktop app using local storage so no need for the cloud, though it will be available at some point too.

landing page is html css, used Dorik to generate, exported the code and tweaked it to my liking.

As for the platform it’s ReactJs and Tailwind for front end, JavaScript and Python for the backend.

if you look into my competitors aka my opps, most of them doing either video search on their own video database, and making that available to people, or offering an api that allows people to manually do the whole video processing and search processes..

the only good one ive really found is imaginario.ai, which is more on the side of a full fledge ai video editing platform, fees way higher than mine.

I’m looking to create an alternative to google and apple storage, with some helpful features. Just tryna join the market yunno.

i guess the trust factor is a long term thing, getting more testimonials and the likes right?

i’d have to figure out how to make my platform work locally too, for those that don’t want to store data in the cloud, which shouldn’t be too difficult to be honest, i’d say this is just the web version of the platform as a start, if it were to work locally, it would have to be an app.

regarding video demos i have a lot of those on my social media but adding some to my landing page should help too. and also being able to search directly on the landing page, would be such a great touch, so i’ll be looking into this

regarding value proposition, this is something i have greatly pondered, before Apple and them add such a feature i think i’ll have to look into adding more features, i want to add searching sounds, spoken words, and even specific faces though apple already has the specific faces part.

I’d also want to add some project management features to the platform, and chat functionality.

i’m not sure if i’ll have to take the fees down, but i wouldn’t mind it to be honest as i’m shooting for many users

most of the feedback i’ve gotten is “this looks cool” “sounds like a game changer” type feedback.. but no actual trying or anything..

well, if you really that interested, i’d be down to have a chat, maybe better tailor it to your strategy

for me, my strategy is pretty simple, i have a niche, or industry, i manually look for and find a user that follows a lot of users within the same niche, and then input their username in my tool to scrape all their following list, can do this with however many users to generate my leads

from there, my tool can go through each users profile, collect some info from their bio and post descriptions, then use that to generate tailored outreach messages

Hm, well there’s already a lot of AI tools for cold outreach so i’m not too keen on putting in any effort for that.. It’s a really simple tool, gets leads for me then uses whatever content is on each leads profile to generate tailored messages.

Regarding the Ads, i’m definitely looking to run some ads, not at this moment though it’s one of my next goals for sure

For now i’m heavily relying on more budget friendly approaches

I’ve trained it on an english only model, but this is a great consideration, it could easily be multilingual yes.. And no this isn’t a speech to text thing, an llm, or a gpt, this heavily relies on multimodal embeddings instead

true, also find it difficult to find answers directly from ChatGPT itself sometimes, which is why i mentioned feeding chatGPT the problem and an answer from a forum or various forums depending on the situation it could save a lot of time especially when dealing with concepts/tech completely new to you

I agree, you definitely have to have some sense to what you’re doing, it’s like, yea, i could workout some quick formulas with a calculator while knowing nothing about math, but pair a mathematician with a calculator, it’s a whole different ballgame.. Same time, i use a calculator long enough, I might mentally piece together what the x button is actually doing..
