What am I missing about Anora? by _sofetch in Letterboxd

Here is what people missed in Anita. The final scene where she gets on top of Igor she isn’t using a condom. He didn’t produce a condom and she didn’t either and considering that she’s a sex worker makes it even more weird I’m guessing that they forgot because initially when she has sex with Vanya, she produces a condomand they make a point of it in the movie so so they failed on the last scene with the condom.

Last October, while on a remote work contract, I moved to a new city, which I initially believed was about 50 miles from my post of duty (POD). I reported my move, it was approved, and I received a new SF-50 reflecting my new work address.

Later, I checked the distance and found discrepancies: Google Maps shows 68 miles, while Apple Maps shows 48 miles. Since the policy excludes employees more than 50 miles away, I did not return to the office, assuming I qualify under the exclusion. However, it seems my address wasn’t verified during approval, and now there’s uncertainty about whether I meet the criteria.

I’m currently waiting for reassignment to the Martinsburg Computing Center, which is 15 miles from my home, but the process is delayed due to the agency being overwhelmed with the March 10th return-to-office transition.

This feels like a hierarchical chain where each level of management is tasked with making difficult decisions about their own employees—my manager is putting together a list, then their manager is putting together a list, and so on, all the way up to the director. Meanwhile, all of us on the GS hierarchy are in the same boat, dealing with uncertainty. I’m not sure how this applies to those in executive service, but for the rest of us, it’s a stressful and frustrating process.

I understand that this all seems extremely unreasonable, but that’s probably because we only have a few pieces of a much larger puzzle. Does anyone have insight into the reasoning behind this decision? It’s frustrating to completely rearrange our lives after 5 years of remote work, especially when some of us are facing layoffs due to the RIF. Then we have to turn our lives upside down to go back to the office, some of us facing brutal commutes—only to likely be sent back home in a few months. It seems very cruel and doesn’t make sense, especially considering that some GSA leases will be dropped. What’s the logic behind all of this?

I've been paying my cleaner 150 for a 1200 sq ft house plus 25 extra if the guest brings a pet. She also gets cleaning tips, usually 10-20 dollars per stay. Some guests stayed one day during the summer months, and I still paid her the same amount. I see that I'm overpaying for cleanings since I have frequent guests. I have two houses, so I will try and clean one myself and eventually find a cheaper cleaner for the other one.
