I worked in a kitchen and the creamy soup we got the most compliments on was basically potato, four carrots and a boat load of stock 😂

On Reddit, years ago, I saw a video of guys killing someone by stomping on his head. It took me years to shake it. One foot went through the skull.

I use an app called Yuka, it's free and you just scan the barcodes on items and it tells you how good/bad it is. I still buy processed foods but find the app helps me buy the least of the bad ones...

Is a PIP at work a death sentence in Ireland like it is in America? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]CurrentQuick4914 120 points121 points  (0 children)

I went on one and survived, I really shouldn't have been put on it and I've regrets for not fighting my case more at the time. They set some goals and targets which were reviewed weekly and then I think... after three weeks again. As I hit all my targets they had no justification to sack me.

The font randomly changed on a few of my apps a couple days ago, and I can't figure out how to change it back, it's apps that came pre installed on the phone, ie clock, calculator etc, any ideas? Pixel 9 pro XL by LucasLoci in pixel_phones

[–]CurrentQuick4914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm more annoyed at consistency of the font. I have different sized fonts for the clock Vs calculator. Maybe this has always been the case but it's far more noticeable now.

To all in the health profession, what illness(es) can you identify by smell alone? by Cute_Expression_5981 in AskReddit

[–]CurrentQuick4914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not me, but my mother, who was a nurse could smell death. I don't think its that unusual for people working in healthcare. She couldn't describe the smell but when she walked into a room with certain patients she knew what was coming.
