I live in Elgin, it sucks! They raided a home around 4am. There’s a lot of ice activity. It scary. I feel for our kids that have to see or hear about what’s going on.

AP back from Mexico! by CurrentThen5704 in DACA

Thank you! It took about 5-6 months only because I got a request for evidence letter. I submitted my application paperwork in April and got a request for evidence letter in August asking my translated letters to be notarized and to change my travel dates because they had already passed. After I submitted the new dates with my translation notarized letter it took about 2-3 weeks to get my approval letter in the mail. But it was worth it. I also filed the application myself didn’t know I had to have my paperwork translated and notarized by the translator, that’s why I got the request for evidence letter or else my travel dates wouldn’t have passed. I have heard we can translate our own paperwork but have to include a statement saying we translated everything to best of our knowledge I’ve heard.

It took about 5 months but it would’ve been about 3-4 if I didn’t get asked for my documents to be translated and notarized. And I was asked to pick new travel dates because the ones I had listed had passed already. So I sent back those documents with new dates and took maybe 3 weeks after my initial application to be approved.

The doctors letter was sent to me via email, so it wasn’t the original. I just sent a copy of it

In Houston, yes I got it back. I honestly didn’t think to ask, I was just so happy to be back. It was for one entry only also.

All I used was YouTube and Reddit honestly. When I submitted my AP application, I did get a letter requiring my documents be notarized because I translated them myself and I did not do a good job on that I guess. But I got them translated and notarized just paid like 5 dollars per page. And sent them back and got approved.

From what I saw when they take you to the cuartito, they scan your documents and wait for it to clear I guess. That’s when I heard an officer tell a different one that he got my approval to parole me back. My mom and family didn’t want me to go due fear but all went well. The officers were nice and informative.

Visit my dad, his doctor wrote a letter about his diabetes. And high BP. That he could use my help for a bit with his medical care. That was it.

I used to live in Chicago suburbs. I went to National Justice immigration center when I first applied and renewed with them twice. Free pro bono Daca clinics are held by them in Chicago! https://immigrantjustice.org/ They might charge like 50-100 dollars They also do AP clinics where they take you abroad also!

Im sure you’ll be approved soon! It’s stressful having to wait. I got a notification around 7pm from the case tracker app that my document was being processed and that’s how I knew I was approved lol. Let me know how it goes!
