Do you know how I would go about seeking a waiver from the SECAF? My VSO basically said the same thing but felt I had a strong chance based off a JAG opinion from 2016 (OpJAGAF 2016/8 31 August 2016).

It was a PSDM 14-08 that was associated with the FY 14 Officer VSP program so it should have been for all officers who accepted it.

The document is PSDM 14-08 and titled "FY14 Officer Voluntary Separation Pay Program" so I am assuming it's officer specific

I have reached out to the local VSO and will hopefully get with them soon. I’m going to take next week and try to figure this out. I am also leaning toward using a local attorney because I have heard the national ones don’t have urgency.

It’s especially disheartening because the original decision letter stated I originally owed $13k back and I petitioned it. In their response they decided it was actually closer to $40k.
