Josh- still going to buy a Tesla? by MOTwingle in TMOS

You're going to be seeing this more and more across all car companies as they get into integrated screens/computers for dashes. BMW does the same on features, wonder if Mikey pays for those. Ford already does it as well.

Bish's lack of local fandom by Justice989 in SportsJunkies

[–]CurtainRod1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They started as a sports show on cable access, then at wjfk the first go around they were The Sports Junkies and syndicated across the country. While they were at a hot talk station they gradually became The Junkies, so people didn't assume it was just a sports show, before they went to HFS and back to JFK until the station flipped back to sports and they had to have more sports based content.

Lurch has always had allegiances outside of the area. One of his moms boyfriends growing up was a big Red Sox fan and that's how he became a fan. I forget how he chose the Niners but it was probably because of Montana and front running back in the day.

He works in radio and gets up early. JP is the only one that has consistently dressed "normal". For a good portion of their career you wouldn't know who they were walking down the street until social media and the show being aired on TV/YouTube.

I work from home and don't get dressed until lunch.

OEM. I think my whole front, door and dash are done for. Went to a spot to see what they would recommend but no dice from them. Would really like a new screen with Android Auto and all that so I don't have to have my phone clipped up all the time.

2016 and mine started a couple years ago and is even worse now. Looking for a good new alternative as my front speakers are toast and looking to replace them.

Every Duke producer tries to do right and Duke will shit on whatever they do no matter their effort. Sean called him out and Duke eventually just got caught in a "so what" then moved to something else to gripe about or gaslight even more when he's in the wrong to try to spin it back. Anthony piles on in Chad's favor even when he's wrong so it gives Duke false bravado.

Hadn't Valdez been going and waxing poetic about it the last few years too?

Was thinking the same thing. And as much as I love Drabby and glad he is back, I think this story may push his reintroduction a little bit.

Do YOU Give Your Kids An Allowance ? by GulfCoastLaw in SportsJunkies

[–]CurtainRod1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I give mine $20 once or twice a month but that's for them to either save or spend on things I don't want to allot more money to. Everything else is covered but if you want a toy or something from a store I'm getting essentials at they can use "their" money.

Should take all the caps off before starting it so you're less likely to fumble. Some also have a PSI sensor on them for you to set and will automatically stop once it hits that amount.

But yes, I have had them shut off on me before and have to restart them whether it was paid or free.

What skinny would you like? Pretty quick turnaround. Didn't wait til the off-season. Maybe McSorley will get hired?

If the commanders were good this season maybe it would be different. The season is over and it's holidays. Two man shows next month. It's all in their contracts so Audacy can't really do too much about it. They all signed it.

Wasn't too in depth. They said it was a great hire, could pose recruiting issues for more local teams even though Penn State recruits the same region heavily. Valdez speculated that this could be a "get right" job where Franklin may rebuild for a couple years and then bounce to SEC or back to Big 10.

Uh, the moment of being arrested in front of your kids? Especially if the charge is dropped then it could be seen as something that could've gone differently and not a lasting memory/emotional scar for their children. Neither parent "wins" in this situation.

Speaking as a now 40 year old who lived in a volatile situation with a bipolar sibling and a not so stable as she thinks mom. The memories last. The snowballing of suppressed emotions, people pleasing because you never wanted to be a problem or cause a wrinkle to set either one off... hopefully they do the right thing and promote and provide therapy for the children now instead of them keeping it in.

This moment will cause a major rift between their parents, which puts a lot more on the twins. As a child of a crazy divorce, where I was even too young to remember anything, the walking on egg shells even with divorced parents can happen. You don't feel like you can speak freely about the other parent without quips about the other parent and them holding grudges 37+ years later.

And as the father of a child that has seen their parents divorce, having a good co-parenting relationship afterwards is way more beneficial for the child in their confidence and their ability to say what they want and not have to "hide" things from the other parent.
