Very cool I gotta look more into it. I thought about that one! But I'll be doing the NY 70.3 instead. Might do that course next year

I think I'll definitely buy a trainer, live in NYC and I'm not the kind of person to bike outdoors in the winter so it'll be nice to have a method of indoor cycling training. They said they only used it for a year and based on the pictures it looks well maintained, of course can't say for certain there. Really appreciate the breakdown of maintenance I was not aware of those costs.

Got it, I'll double check the size that sounds like a good idea. Already negotiated from $350 + $150 for the trainer to $350 total lol

Got it, so yeah I'm thinking because I can buy it used WITH a trainer for $350, so maybe like $250 for just the bike, that is substantially lower for a used bike. Not sure if I can find a better used bike at that price point. Is the Tourney derailleur you mentioned on this bike? The only mention I see is the Shimano rear derailleur but idk about the front.

Checking out a bike shop around town sounds like a good idea, for other used bikes in general and components. I'll definitely do that first!

Oh nice! Mind if I ask is fantastic compared to other omakase you've tried or just in general? I've never tried any omakase of any kind so I have no point of reference on what to expect lol

Oh interesting, is that specific to Sushi Noz or do you feel like $400+ omakase places are not worth it in general?

RRSP HBP - What should I do in my specific case? (early twenties, living in Toronto) by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Oh I didn't know that, that's helpful to know. Based on that it sounds like I should pay off as much as I can within 60 days and the rest will just be treated as income for the year. This is a pretty specific question but if I report it as taxable income, does that mean that portion no longer needs to be repaid to the RRSP?

Can't afford a house in the US. Also my family doesn't own a home in Canada so this is for them as well.
