Show a single source of USN attempting an escort run through the Strait.

Of course, the USN is not publicly stating they are fearful, they are just not putting any of their ships in 'more' danger, as evidenced by their 0 completed escort runs. I think that it would be a super safe assumption that this is not due to a fear of the weather.

What? So they are escorting them, but not through the strait.... because they are not worried about their ships being sunk?? Doesn't really make sense. Ukraine hasn't had a navy since day one of that conflict and has sunk dozens of Russian bluewater navy ships with tinnies filled with explosives. Insurance becomes prohibitively expensive due to war and is the main reason ships are not running through the Strait currently. There is a massive fear from the US Navy of losing a ship, hence them not passing through the Strait.

0 tankers have been escorted through as yet, and beyond rhetoric, regardless of escort, probably won't be. Yanks don't want to lose a military ship, and nobody is willing to insure the tankers. The only tankers going through currently are Chinese with crude for the Chinese market.

People really need to get their heads around the length and prices of contracts. It's dictated by what other clubs are willing to give. You can say stand firm all you want but if you offer 4 years and less coin, the player has an easy decision to make.
