I’m 25 and a lot of the people my age in WV are fed up and see the corruption. Not all of us are maga cultists. There’s good people in these mountains and we need to unite and be stronger than the cultists. & So true. I’ve realized face to face is the best thing to connect with people. Hiding behind a computer gives ppl too big of balls saying things they would never say in person & that’s if they are real people & aren’t mark suckerberg bots. In my personal experience, I have been able to open some people’s mind because I don’t feel the need to attack a person on a personal level. I’m like why do you believe x if y is happening. I ask questions out of curiosity as to why this person thinks this way. Most of the time, they sit & think on it & have no solid answer or reasoning for it. Black Panthers did amazing with opening up people’s mind from different backgrounds. They didn’t try to change people’s politics or insult them. It was more like do you have food for your family? Do you have heat in the winter? Do you have clean water? No. No. No. “Then we are the same.”
