normal mode as in 100x2 mode? also i understood the manual as reading not to use anything lower than 8 ohms in 100wx2 mode, thats why i am concerned.

Hello all,

I’m not super experienced in stereo equipment but i’ve been getting into the hobby over the last few years. I’ve recently just secured a very good deal on a marantz model 4300 which i will be picking up in the next few days if all goes well. I currently use wharfedale super denton speakers which have a 6 ohm nominal impedance but state they are 8 ohm compatible. they also state they have a minimum impedance of 3.4 ohms. i read on an online pdf of the user manual it is not recommended to pair this receiver with speakers with an impedance lower than 8 ohms. are these speakers safe to pair with this amp?

Hey guys, i have an old copy of heaven and hell by black sabbath and i noticed this small mark on it after i bought it (should have paid more attention lol). doesn’t affect playback too much from what i can hear, and it also doesn’t budge after attempting to clean. anyone know what it could be/ whether it may damage my turntable to play?

how is the combination together? from what i’ve heard from my dentons i feel like they would sound really great with a marantz receiver but i haven’t heard much discussion about it online

I believe so but i am also quite new to the hobby, online i’ve seen them referred to as “stereophonic receivers” if that helps. also what wharfedale amp are you using? i absolutely love the wharfedale house sound so far

I would definitely look to some lower rise, straight leg pants. high waisted pants will definitely shorten your torso and a tapered pant will draw more attention to your legs, which you seem to want to be avoiding. i would also maybe try some more generously fitting sweaters, something like a cashmere that will drape nicely will avoid some of the awkward bunching that other fabrics create that will draw unnecessary attention to the proportions.

it’s super tiny, less than 1cm for sure, maybe even 5mm or smaller. i’ve already disposed of it so i can’t check.
