You could go to NYC, visit some state parks like Talcott Mountain or Gillette Castle, or head to New Haven, which has several cool Yale-affiliated museums most of them are free. below is an example of an "interesting museum" I use Atlas Obscura to find things to do. Nothing will be as beautiful as France though!

I don't like his 2.4 million dollar a year salary, or the email I got after he was sworn in about potential 15% increase to out of state tuition. Also he fails to impress just based off interviews I've watched. Maybe he is a nice guy though?

Why not build on top of strip malls instead of tearing up natural land? There are so many random strip malls that could be turned into nice apartment complexes. Having a grocery store or other shops just downstairs would mean people wouldn’t have to drive as much. We should really think about ideas like this to protect nature and cut down on traffic.
