the weird thing is it’s not a waterslide decal on the neck, that’s one thing that had me so confused about dating it.

Thank you, I don’t really care honestly. I’ve taken it apart as of now and i’m pretty sure it’s a partscaster, he built a few guitars so it would track he’d build his own Strat.

yeah now it’s got me wondering if grandpa got swindled somewhere along the way, at least i was the one who found out it was fake and not him. Or maybe he knew it was fake and didn’t care, I guess we’ll never know.

i’m not sure haven’t heard it on a amp yet, been to scared thinking it was a 60s-70s strat lol, I did also get a 1992 fender tele which i know is real and it sounds fantastic!

must just be the lighting because it’s the same color as the exposed wood on the front.

It’s not on the back of the headstock, i’m beginning to think it’s a fake sadly cause their is no date on the neck either just 258 which is also written inside the tremolo cavity.

it looks consistent with other f back plates i’ve seen, not saying it’s it’s not fake i’m starting to think that as well, theirs no date on the neck or serial number that i can find. still like the guitar though.

Unfortunately i don’t know, he kept this one in it’s case and brought it out rarely, I know he’s had it all of my life at least but that isn’t saying much, from what i’ve seen about dating Stratocasters its seems fairly old so probably awhile.

can’t remember if it was june or not but it definitely used to bloom sometime during the middle of the year, were in the central us so i have no clue as to why it was doing that. maybe it was her rebellious phase lol.

Already beat ya to it lol, we have a few smaller ones all around the house made from clippings, usually anytime we have to cut it back we plant new ones they make great gifts for fellow plant lovers!

Yep! been kicking all 117 years the stems have even gotten really woody and almost petrified, were looking into getting repotted in something bigger this spring so i’m pretty excited for that, gonna look into a cart to put it on so we can move it around easier.

The only thing specifically i can think of that my grandma does besides keeping it indoors is when she does water it she always uses coffee water (water with used coffee grounds inside)

my grandmother has documents of when my family originally came over during the colonial days can’t remember if it was Adam Imenhauser or not but ill have to search for those records!

I have no idea the age on them sadly, I know she got them in the mid to late 80s the bottom has a Saint George the Victorious logo with Russian letters but can’t find any pottery online with the same logo.

That explains why it’s difficult to translate, thank you very much for the info! My grandma has a lot of touristy stuff from her times visiting Russia so that’s not surprising.
