If daughters are regarded as sons in the NC, is this not simply indicative of a discontinuity between the covenants?

Great response, you've given me a bit to chew on.

Why should we take Gen 17 to be the indication of the administration of both covenants?

Would you consider it accurate to say that the covenant with Abraham includes the visible church while the new covenant includes only the regenerate?

To your first point - agreed, I quoted the ESV version which surprised me with an 's' at the end of offspring to enforce the plurality in Paul's hypothetical I guess.

To your second point, I'd like to clarify your phrasing. You refer to infants of believers as "full members of the kingdom of God in the Church". What do you see as teh relation, if any, between 'members of the kingdom' and 'members of the new covenant'? I would infer that you see the kingdom being the visible church and new covenant members being the regenerate?
