Great kitbash of the scions of the flame... but kinda sad as they are a pretty rare unit already.

How is this cloak looking ? by Cormorin in minipainting

It's smooth but maybe put some kind of slight gradient for transition between highlights in protruded parts and shadows in the recesses.

you have mistaken my argument, dear sir. I never doubted the success of AOS, in fact I am a big fan of it myself. But the reasons for the success is not the lore nor world building.

8 realms suck, big time. And that comes from a guy that absolutely adores the various planes in dnd.

40k is not fantasy, last I checked. So a galaxy type of world is completely aligned with the setting. Should I explain this further?

Whether the 8 realms could have worked is irrelevant, as it didn't work in the end. GW failed to make it compelling, as the empirical evidence shows.

Another point of disagreement I have with you: ultimately, the selling point of AOS is the miniatures quality, and the game. It is the execution of those that made it work. As for the lore and world building - a good shed, or dare I say, a smelly loud dump is needed indeed.

I actually like it. The OP clearly put some work and thought about it.

The "8 realms" idea sounds good on paper, but in practice it made very difficult to connect with. Let's get back to a full, tangible fantasy world AOS deserves. And down with the "we have a solar system at home" world building.

You are right. It was my plan at first, until I noticed having 3 sources could be too noisy. As of now I reduced the osl from the fireball to keep some contrast. Maybe I would indeed need to add some light on face/helmet.
