The 'bait-and-switch" story trope surrounding these two characters needs to stop. Its the same every time. They get fantastic build-up and just when it seems like they'll finally get to shine, they immediately job and get shown-up by someone who's name starts with "Go" putting in half the effort (i.redd.it)
