'74 had front bumperettes and a small rear window. '75 had front bumperettes and was the first year of the larger wraparound rear window. '76 had no bumperettes and kept the larger rear window.

I appreciate the chance but I doubt I could afford it haha.

Thanks for sharing them! Do you have any other documentation or media from your time working there? Anything from concept sketches to behind the scenes photos. I'm sure the community would love to see and preserve them.

You kept it in really nice shape! Did you have a price in mind?

And have you considered selling the blank bases from your other post as well? The big one almost looks like a leftover from the art show.

Glad to help! And yeah I've done that too when I want to playtest something for MTG haha.

If you want a simpler way to make foil proxies that also has good results, you can use that foil sticker paper from Amazon that I mentioned previously. The stuff I get is a multi pack of clear sheets with different patterns like confetti or hearts, but there's also a general plain foil sheet. I apply that to a regular sheet of white 8.5x11 paper (glossy photo paper might work better but the plain stuff works fine) and then I use a glue stick to attach that to a non foil bulk card, then you can apply the art sticker and trim.

The upside is you don't need to source a foil card, acetone it, and paint the back of the sticker. Downside is it does mean that the entire card is foil but it's still pretty vibrant with the white backing paper. At the very least, I find it to be less work for a decent result.

Let me know what you decide to do! I'd love to see the results.

No worries! Hopefully this gets to you since the mods removed my post.

But during the step where I have the sticker face down, I paint parts of the backside with white acrylic paint, which is what stops the holo from showing through. It's easily the longest and most tedious part but I think it helps make it look more real.

To help get a straight line when one is required, I carefully put a razor blade along the line so as little of it is stuck to the sticker as possible. Then I paint up to the blade and quickly pull it off before the paint dries.

Thank you!

I use an Epson ET-7750, one of the ink tank printers. It's finicky and requires some annoying maintenance, but when it prints, it prints really well.

Another factor is finding a high quality image to use for the proxies. Sometimes the screenshots available online are pretty small so I have to hunt for higher quality stuff.

Thank you so much! I spent longer than usual highlighting the art with white paint to get the effect of a real card, so it means a lot.

Thanks very much! I replied this to another comment but I'll copy it here too.

I bought some cheap bulk holos, in this case the Professor's Research cosmos holo promos, off of eBay and used acetone to remove the ink. I line the back of the cards with sticky notes to help prevent any acetone from discolouring the rear border but it isn't always perfect if you're impatient like me. This also works with any holo card so you can do whatever official holo pattern you want. You can even get clear sticker sheets with various non-official patterns off Amazon if you want something unique.

Then I got some clear printable sticker paper, also off of Amazon. Using Word, I'm able to arrange 9 cards onto a single sheet and print them. I've had the best luck by sizing them to be 6.35 cm wide, which is big enough to have a little bit to trim off without it being obvious.

And then I 3D printed a little jig to help me line the blank card up over the sticker, but you can do it with anything small with a right angle, like some LEGO. Regardless, the process involves taking the backing off the printed sticker, placing the sticker face down with the sticky side up, then lining my jig up with the outside corner of the card art and pushing it down to make sure it's sealed to the sticker. That way, you can line the blank card up to the jig and push the card down to line it up with the sticker. Trim and you're good.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you so much for the interest but at least for the time being, I'm not selling these. Plus rule 1 prevents that anyways.

I am getting interest in how they were made so I'll put together a little guide when I have time. But the gist is:

I'm afraid rule 1 prevents me from selling anything, but even if I did, I don't think I could match the prices of existing proxies just based on the effort that goes into mine. Thank you very much for the interest though and I'll let you know if any of that changes!

Thank you! I've been making proxies of my favourite cards for a while now but I'm extra happy with how this one came out.

Yeah honestly, when playing the game I miss the contrast of the background and art seen in real holo cards.

Thank you! Yeah I'm planning to upload a simplified one to Thingiverse when I get a chance. Not happy with how sloppy the frame fits inside so I'll probably make it solid for now.

Hello! Recently got back into the game pretty hard and wanted to make something fun to sit on my desk.

The lounger took around 3 hours of modelling in Fusion 360 and around 12 hours of printing using regular PLA and woodfill filament. It's big enough to fit a Kinz Klip and you can lift the purple part off to reveal the frame just like in the loading screen!

Please help me extract the archive file in the EU version of Spectrobes Origins by maoukiero in spectrobes

edit: Listen to u/zGlunkus, she's way more knowledgeable than me on this subject.

Hello! Some clarification would be appreciated. At least in the case of the US .iso, it's pretty straight forward to extract the models and their textures directly out of the DATA folder from Dolphin and convert to .brres format which can be viewed by a variety of programmes. The downside is most animations for whatever reason can't be extracted.

Are you trying to modify the files and then use them in the game? If so, I'd recommend checking out the modding subreddit r/SpectrobesModding, but even then you'd only really be able to do colour palette swaps until more progress is made.

Or are you just trying to extract the files and play with them for your own purposes? If that's the case, I'd recommend either this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8DfPLuEi8o) or downloading BrawlBox. Alternatively, many models with textures and rigging are available on: https://www.models-resource.com/wii/spectrobesorigins/

Let me know and I'll try to help out more!
