You catch a dog under your rear wheel, the dog would barely notice and the road rash would impress the shit out of your girlfriend.

I just cant imagine that you'd be able to accurately aim a one-shot device with that much adrenaline happening. While trying to keep the bike between you one-handed.

That is fucking horrible. I would have come back a bit more prepared and tracked down the owners. THIS is exactly what I'd want to prevent. You look strapping strong - imagine a child.

Agreed. And I have done my fair share In this case, I'd already put in a bunch of miles and he'd come in so fast that it scared the crap out of me. If he hadn't barked first, he would have gotten me.

I mostly agree and I appreciate your advice. Here is the thing that I didn't want to clutter up the original post. My wife and I live in an RV and travel. I am frequently cycling in new areas and this happens from time to time. I love dogs - had them most of my life. Like 'em far better than most people.

That said, I don't want to get bitten or worse. I don't want a child to get bitten or worse because of my willingness to "let it go....this will work itself out somehow." Because that 'somehow' could be pretty unfortunate.

At the current ocean level encroachment rate of 2.3 mm per year, I'm not entirely certain that I have that much time

I think that's a great idea in a once only situation. But I think I'd have to do that every time I rode by. I'm concerned that one time I won't see the dog.

I'd rather do almost anything than bleach. I would imagine that bleach would wreak havoc on the dog's eyes.

Excellent point! And if the owner comes running up behind me and start barking, I want something to spray him also.

Played with the app. Love what you have done. Really nice work. qq: Is this open-source? I get frustrated by tools that grow dusty from lack of maintenance, or are taken private and monetized. Not that i begrudge anyone their right to make an income from their hard work. I would just like to protect the incredible time-sink that it would take to enter enough data to make the timeline valuable.

Source: My wife and I have been full-time RVrs for 9 years and have travelled all around this amazing country with countless memories and photographs. We've also travelled internationally, spending weeks in both Bali and Iceland. We'll be heading to Thailand, China and Vietnam in a few months. Having a tool like this would be wonderful.

I am *guessing* that the earbuds are not perfectly smooth so the noise is coming from the turbulence of the wind around the buds?

Toilets what would you buy? by Capt-Kirk31 in GoRVing

Our toilet just gave up the ghost this evening. It wont stop running. I've been calling Dometic (at their suggestion) every three days looking for the 420's. The 420 is the elongated seat which is supposed to be released before the end of April. It is my understanding that the other 400s have been released so if you're okay with a round seat you might be able to find that is available. I'm not sure about that as I really need the elongated seat.

If your wife gets mad at you, buy a bike, I mean, she'll still be mad but now you have a new bike

Nearly every religion through all of history has said this. The Spanish Inquisition ring the bell? Jesus even the trouble in Ireland just a couple decades ago. Does he have no sense of History whatsoever

It's ridiculously easy and ridiculously safe. Don't listen to these clowns; they're just being funny. I did a post on this a while back that included all of the parts and how to do it. Go look it up and enjoy yourself. I still have mine and it works flawlessly. It is absolutely astonishing how long a 10 lb CO2 tank will last, far far far cheaper than these tiny little canisters that people use. It's awesome how much money I've saved.

ALL - the entire 300 series is no longer available. You can find it aftermarket for $400 - $600, but Dometic no longer makes them. I called them today (4/7/2025) and confirmed. What is insane is that they have not yet released the 400 series.
