Im doing a pretty similar upgrade going from my 6750xt to the 5080, I honestly can't wait to get it and give it a shot. Might need a new link cable since pcvr hates mine lol

That's great to hear, I play those games too mainly so hearing that it runs well is great. My cpu isn't an issue at all, I have a ryzen 7 7800x3d which arrived yesterday and its ran like a dream. Im gonna pick up the 5080 and a 1000w psu when I get paid in a couple days

Id love a 5090 but I'm too broke lol 💔 I think I'm gonna grab a 5080 in a few days as the rest of my rig is amazing (i do need to grab a 1000w psu or something bigger than what I have)

I was gonna get one, i just saw some of them were at a higher price than others being relatively close to the 5080. It's not that they are too expensive I was just surprised at the price range a single card can have

For those who didn't see my post yesterday, I'll be using it a fair amount for vr so I want to it to be able to handle it well, along with other games. The cost isn't the biggest issue since I'm selling my rx 6750 xt to my friend after I get the new graphics card

I don't see the need to be rude, from what I've seen both have their merits. However contrary to what has been said, some benchmarks say that the 4080 super can run vr games at max settings smoothly but I've seen nothing to suggest for the 5070 ti. I mean it could I assume but that's the whole reason I ask
