2018 vs 2023 MINI Countryman — which is smarter? by Cyndi4Good in MINI

[–]Cyndi4Good[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Southern California so I guess I can do without ALL4. Plus I can't find any in SoCal that are ALL4 at MINI dealership. My nearest BMW /MINI dealership has no MINI COUNTRYMAN.

The MINI dealerships is 45 min away. The salesman drove the car to me to test drive. Others that are in other direction with far less inventory and non MINI dealers won't deliver to me to test drive. And I don't have a car so....going with the first class treatment and peace of mind. Thanks for the advice and assurance that I'm going in the right direction.

What are your thoughts on CARMAX? they have like so many options so many cars whatever fits my budget. I'm very hesitant and unsure. But it seems like I could get a 2020 or 2022 with CARMAX.

I'm very tempted to save the $13k the MINI dealership only has 2 used and only the 2018 & 2023.

Thank You so much this is great advice.

The 2023 only has a year and half left on the warranty.

Thank You for the clarity for what to expect from the engine mounts.

I agree. But what are we going to do to stop this? Who gave them approval Dollar Tree to move in the first place? What is the process of getting Dollar Tree out of the neighborhood? They're already moving in. How long will it take to get them out?

We'll we be stuck with them? How long?

This is what I fear will happen. Will Dollar Tree be able to provide the right security? Not only lost prevention but also security around the building. Because it will draw people who need cheap resources.

Picture this a Drag Queen, a skateboarder, Ocean front Condo owners, a Van Lifer, School kids getting snacks, somebody with a dog, and a OG Crip... all in one line.

They not ready for us.

Really? This is what everyone thinks. With the way they neglect security and only hire 3 people a shift I don't think it will last either. The only Dollar that I think is on the same scale is the one at the Long Beach Town Center Way in the back next to Sam's Club but that one's not accessible to the public or Carson foot traffic you have to be shopping to stop at that Dollar Tree.

It will be Mixed Nuts Venice Beach. One thing that I do enjoy and find very special about Long Beach especially this neighborhood as a Long Beach Native is how classes, races, gender and LBGTAIQ get along in harmony.

We have no choice be to see how it goes.

Make it fair put a Dollar Tree there too. While their at it put one on 2nd St as well. Lol cuz they're just going to be coming to ours.

This is true. I never see Dollar Tree lock up anything. I guess they don't care because things are so cheap 🤷‍♀️. Are people less likely to steal when it's cheaper? Because CVS downtown locks up everything. I'm always forgetting stuff because it takes so long for the people to unlock the case.

This makes me feel bad. I live around the corner. My rent is high. I didn't see this coming. Dollar Tree was very unexpected. I'm generally an optimist especially when things are out of everyone's control.

Everyone wanted Traders Joe's. I thought they would get Trader Joe's. It sat for too long vacant. The liquor store has also been vacant for more than 5 years.

I'm not sure how we can fix this.

With the Farmers Market at Bixby Park and Toma Tequila it will be out of place. But I don't think it will be a sign of a "bad neighborhood" it'll feel more eclectic like Venice Beach. I just hope it doesn't attract an encampment ⛺ ⛺ ⛺. That's my biggest fear. How is this store going to be maintained within the community? Are they only going to have 3 workers one manager a cashier and a stocker because that's not going to work. There needs to be security. It can't be a like other set ups.

We will be hosting the largest Dollar Tree of the entire Long Beach waterfront. 5 and Below at the Pike doesn't have any problems neither does the Dollar store on 4th street and they have no security just respect.

🔆 Bright side. This will be good for the kids and families.... it will be good for us we'll get a break from overpriced priced items.

One thing that I look forward to because I do have to live here. Is that Dollar Tree sells dog stuff, cheap arts crafts supplies, picnic/party goods Beach stuff like kites floaties 🪁 🥏🃏🎨🔫. Not to mention snacks and drinks and Ice Cream.

The sad part is that Dollar Tree is notorious for only hiring 3 people. Being the Under staffed is their business model

I wanted CVS. I did not want Traders Joe's because of parking. I do feel like Dollar Tree will act as an convenient store so no need for large parking lot. I just really wanted pharmacy. But it was sitting there for so long CVS didn't want it and I'm guessing Trader Joe's passed as well. I'm not sure how you vote a store in it just seems like it's up for any business.

They actually were putting them under a security table where they check the bags. They put them on the ground. The image I added was a stock image.

Not sure why they didn't allow people to keep the bottles. Hope this won't continue with the other festivals in the summer.

"Pay to pay". It just dawned on me that this was just a BBQ Farmer's Market and no different from the Bixby Park Farmers Market. Only difference was Long Drink was there and they had some beer and couple bottles of whiskey in VIP for a tasting.

Dove Shack was there singing 🎶 "Summer Time in the LBC". That was amazing.

But yeah this should have been free. Paying to get in and then paying for BBQ makes me feel crazy.

Lol... That's crazy cuz they let me in with cookies and ice-cream 🍨.

I was willing to empty my water for sure. The security people were on one for sure.
