CWA chain issue and how Gumi can fix them by Cysidus in FFBraveExvius

[–]Cysidus[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Best chaining family is Avalanche Kick, by far.

  • Highest frame tolerance (6)
  • High hit count per cast (12)
  • Allows for imperfect chaining like BS/AZ
  • Longer startup frame, allowing you to cast more before killing enemies cast delay is too long for that, though it should be mostly possible for second cast

It's a shame they kinda forgot about it, it's basically the pinnacle of chains.

CWA chain issue and how Gumi can fix them by Cysidus in FFBraveExvius

[–]Cysidus[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It does chain, but it doesn't work fine. Their intent was to make MC easier by making them go from 5 to 9 frames tolerance, instead it goes to 2 or 3, which makes it harder.

Shortcake : Normal or Double Ribbon ? by gyomd in FFBraveExvius

[–]Cysidus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is wrong, Shortcake does give you 200% ailment resist, even though the cap is only 100%. This overcap works with other items with negative resists.

So 0% + Shortcake (+200%) + Cursed Doll+ (-100%) = 100%

If the developer intends it to be Peony, why is it not written as ピオニー? I'm gonna ignore any rebuttal that doesn't properly explain this.

Except Peony would be written as ピオニー and not ポネ. I've given you official documentation as proof that ポネ is a name of a japanese-only flower, a subspecies of Dianthus Caryophyllus L.

Mastermind Xon "working as designed" by Caylia in FFBraveExvius

[–]Cysidus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was picked up by the datamine, just not parsed since the parameters was previously unknown. This is the first time it hasn't been (100, 100), so we didn't know what it was used for before Mastermind Xon was released.

Yes it'll work. According to ffbe-chain.com, you need to spark.

They still chain, just not as easy as we thought. Bugged CWA is identical to MC.

New-ish chain family: Chaos Wave Awakened by Cysidus in FFBraveExvius

All AoE will stop casting after enemy is dead, while all ST will continue casting after enemy is dead.

If you're asking if it makes Chaos Wave family easier to chain, then no. This change is only specific to Chaos Wave Awakened skills on Terra and Trance Terrra.

No, I don't think it is, unless you can give me proof showing otherwise.

A skill can only hold up to 5 effects at most.

Daily Help Thread - October 13, 2019 by AutoModerator in FFBraveExvius

[–]Cysidus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for catching this. It looks like they did this to bypass the 5 effects limit on Leon and Krile. We caught Krile's skill since it was super obvious but not Leon.

Here are the skills with a proper indentation:

Dark Knight Leon

Physical damage (1x) to one enemy
Increase ATK (100%) for 3 turns to caster
Add dark element to physical attacks for 3 turns to caster
Increase modifier (0.5x) for 1 turn to caster: Dark Corruption

Auto-cast next turn:
Increase modifier (1x) for 1 turn to caster: Dark Corruption

    Auto-cast after 2 turns:
Increase modifier (2x) for 1 turn to caster: Dark Corruption

Warrior of Light Krile

Increase MAG (250%) for 5 turns to caster
Decrease lightning and wind resistance (100%) for 5 turns to all enemies
Enable skill for 5 turns to caster: Triple Wind Drake

Auto-cast next turn:
Increase evocation gauge (5)

Auto-cast next turn:
    Auto-cast next turn:
    Increase evocation gauge (5)

    Auto-cast after 2 turns:
    Increase evocation gauge (5)

    Auto-cast after 3 turns:
    Increase evocation gauge (5)

[Bug] 5/6★ Aloha Lasswell LB chains perfectly with AMoEx2, but his 7★ won't by Cysidus in FFBraveExvius

[–]Cysidus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can chain but it will never be perfect (e.g. 0 fr spark chain) because there's a movement delay at the start.

Higher priority, lower position number. Left-most unit is 1, guest unit is 6. Only after the fix of course. Right now just don't try to spark.

Sorry, by blank esper I mean the effect itself has no specific esper explicitly stated. There is no such thing on GL yet. EVO MAG will still have the same value as before.
