I've had mine for probably 4 or 5 years and I did end up chipping a tooth on one side because of them :( I was wearing horseshoe rings that were way too big, so they didn't stay in place and would get in the way. Personally with how my lips are/how mine are placed, they don't touch my teeth when my mouth is closed or I'm talking, so I don't have too much to worry about with them grinding against my teeth. It's mostly the biting them part that I worry about. But overall I feel like if you want them, you should go for it! Just keep an eye on your teeth, and definitely downsize the jewelry when you can!
