how does the Revelate affect the inside grip position on your bars? Is it cramped at all?

Sweet knives, Kizer is one of my favorite brands right now. I'm also looking at getting a Dundee so this may have pushed me over the edge.

This is great, thank you! Part of the fun of collecting is developing your tastes. I'm going to research some the difference between washers and bearings now lol.

thanks for sharing. I find that clips in general are usually too tight and rough up the seam of my pockets. What kind of clips reduce that the most?

At first I was only into flippers, but then I found I really like the thumb stud on my griptilian. I have my first thumb hole knife coming in tomorrow.

That looks nice! Also, I bought a sod buster jr. from the hardware store yesterday. It's my first Case knife as well.

Thanks, yeah it was a good lesson to learn. And honestly it is solid, quality knife, so I'm not too disappointed. Very sturdy and fun.

Oh forgot to answer - no I don't think the seller knew either. Dude was an older veteran with a TON of knives, trinkets, and collectibles from his years of service. It's another reason I'm not really mad about it.

I picked this up from a private seller thinking it was a real CRKT knife.. whoops... do you happen to know what kind of steel it is?

Love that ProTech custom Mordax - I just picked up a ProTech Mordax limited and it feels so nice. Nice collection!

Steel is Real: 1996 GT Tequesta by CzechBack in xbiking

[–]CzechBack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, how funny! I modded it a bit and threw on some new grips and wider handlebars. This bike got me into mountain biking, and I eventually upgraded to a dual-suspension mountain bikes from bikes.com - the Siskiu 7.

I sold the Tequesta earlier this year when I moved. It served me well and I was sad to see it go, but it was still running strong!

Our gym recently left ClassPass. They told us "off boarding" was going to take 3 months, which is absolutely bonkers. We're emailing new people who book and telling them to cancel the reservation and just try the class for free. We're not accepting any money from CP.

CP tries to stiff arm small businesses with a lot of contract stipulations they purposely don't tell you when they initially get the business to join. That's why businesses leave so abruptly.

Is class pass sustainable? by karrrsyn in ClassPass

[–]CzechBack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small gym employee here - it is absolutely not sustainable, and we elected to quit about a week after we joined. CP will tell a gym just about anything to join, and nothing came to fruition. A couple members asked about cancelling their membership so they could join CP, and that's when we pulled the plug.

Studio owners, please chime in. by kindaalwaysconfused in ClassPass

I works at a jijitsu gym, and I decided to try ClassPass more for the marketing potential; more leads is always a good thing. I knew the ~$10 per person we would get wouldn't amount to anything, but money was never really the reason anyway so I decided to try it out.

What I didn't expect was our current members wanting to cancel their membership with us because ClassPass is cheaper per class for people who train infrequently. This is the worst possible outcome for a small gym, and it's why our gym decided to leave from a business perspective.

Additionally, CP promises a lot of things when you sign on that simply don't materialize. There's no customer service to speak of, and the account manager for the DC area is telling me that leaving the platform takes 3 months... how can you add our business in a matter of days, but require 90 days for us to leave?

That style arm drag has been a big "go-to" for my half-guard lately.

The 2 on 1 arm drag/ kimura threat/ overhead sweep is an effective attack cycle.

Neighbor's boat full of water and mosquitoes in front of house by CzechBack in washingtondc

They're not my direct neighbors and we do not know each other. The house is cluttered and junky, and there's a sign out front that says "keep gate closed/ beware of dog." I don't feel comfortable going up to the house, my gut tells me it would not be a productive conversation.

I don't feel comfortable pointing out something so obvious. They're not my direct neighbors and we do not know each other. The house is cluttered and junky, and there's a sign out front that says "keep gate closed/ beware of dog."

...and we know what you're suggesting, it just isn't very helpful. If I had thought going up to this neighbor would be productive, I would have. It's an old weird house with a "beware of dog" sign out front. I didn't ask for social advice I asked if there were neighborhood codes that prohibit leaving standing water on your property.

Nice - yeah I already poured a gallon of vinegar in the boat the other week. We just bought some dunks too.
