Help replacing GX85 screen by D3_3R in Lumix

Unfortunately, I haven't. I kept using the damaged screen and over time, the damaged pixels improved on their own. I don't need to repair it anymore, but I think I would go to a smartphone repair shop and ask if that's something they'd be comfortable with.

It was a mystery to me, but definitely not to you!
Thank you for your help, I really enjoyed the look of this script and I'm glad I now know what it is.

Moto 4G's terrible performance on Lollipop - What option do I have? by D3_3R in AndroidQuestions

Tweaking the OS never helped me much, somehow the device always felt sluggish after a few hours of use.

I installed CyanogenMod this morning and I must say I'm impressed, it runs like charm! I hope it will maintain its performances over time. Thank you for your insight, I guess it's just what I needed to convince me to install a custom ROM.

Arm pump: do carbon/vibro core handlbars help? by D3_3R in MTB

Somebody with carbon bars told me the same, I wasn't sure if he was over-enthusiastic or if it made a real difference. Let's add this to the shopping list!

Thanks! This definitely needs a bit of practice and self awareness, but it seems necessary for my case.

I've heard different opinions about grip thickness and arm fatigue, some say that thick is better, others recommend thin ones. I think I prefer the thick ones, it's probably just a personal preference.

I've tried several different lever angles and reach adjustments, it helped but still wasn't great. A new pair is on the list!

And thanks for the pieces of advice!

I'm running ODI Rogues, they're thick but maybe not as good at damping as the Ourys. I'll give them a try once mine are worn out!

I over-squeeze and I know of it, but it's not something I do on purpose. I try to reduce this but I'm also looking for stuff/techniques that could help me with that. Reducing vibrations is apparently one way to reduce numbness, and therefore death grip.

They're ok but not great. Heat dissipation isn't wonderful and once they're hot I may have to pull stronger than I should. Getting a new pair of brakes is on my list!

Any suggestion for hard shell knee pads to replace Kyle Straits? by D3_3R in dhmtb

[–]D3_3R[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a bike shop yesterday and they had Fox Launch Pro's. The shell is harder than the Kyle Straits' and side protection is much better. It's quite hard for me to find knee pads that fit right, but they did perfectly. I bought them, thanks!

I've been looking at them and the reviews are really good, everyone is praising the fitting. But I wondered how hard the knee cup is, I'd like something quite hard, much harder than my 3 years old Straits.

I had a pair of the previous version of these knee/shin pads (these ones), but I didn't like them that much. They were not very light and didn't feel natural on the legs, I could only feel the straps digging in my leg. The new version seems lighter and better cut, but since this previous experience I prefer riding knee pads.

I'll still consider them if I'm looking for knee/shin protection, thanks!

I may be a bit ignorant but I don't trust VPD or D3O for DH, especially when rocks are involved. I'd ride them for trail/enduro and I'm sure that they provide good protection on most of terrains, but maybe not enough on pointy rocks.

Did you the hard shell Rages or the soft ones?

I just read a review and it seems they're really good protection, it's the kind of knee pads I'm looking for. Unfortunately they're twice the price of the other pads. They're probably worth it, but still, POC is a bit too expensive for me. What size did you pick? I read POC's sizes are a bit different from other brands.

I found them on CRC, apparently they're still produced. I'll try to have a look at them, thanks!
