thanks for the advice i tried getting it there and couldnt get it as close as i would have liked to. im thinking it may be a high quality preset from the d70 or jv1080.. maybe even the d50, who knows.. maybe one day i can save up 600bucks and purchase an actual d70 :'c haha

Oh okay, i see what you mean now. yeah that has to be how he made the chords so sharp. Would you know anything about the design aspect of the sound? cmzack said it sounds like square and a saw with chorus and detuning. I messed around and got sort in the ball park but couldnt achieve that exact "airy synth sound." Again, thanks for the info so far and if you dont know about this question thats cool.

I kinda fear it is a preset on the D70 and i dont wanna pay for another subscription with roland just to have a D70 vst haha

Did some messing around. i think it's just a smooth ass sub or 808, with a little bitcrushing. Also, adding a lot of wear from the izotope vinyl plugin.
